I was pretty excited to see this while also presuming it would be a pretty bad film. I mean, I love the first one, but it didn't seem like it could be done again.
And they didn't, really. The first one is still definitely better; but the second one was still quite funny anyway. It did drag in the third act by quite a bit, I think, not nevertheless I liked it a lot. Note that I did not watch any trailers for this because I didn't want any jokes spoiled, so your mileage may vary.

Well, the entire phenomenon with the first film was that it wasn't an instant classic. It became funnier and more memorable AFTER the first viewing. Maybe that was lightning in a bottle, but we should probably give it some time and some repeat viewings before making too much of a judgment.
I'm a huge fan of the first film and I'd already resigned myself to the sequel being unbearably bad.
I loved. Saw it sober and still loved it.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

I saw it and it is pretty funny. I mean, some of the jokes are based on having an outlandish premise and are repeats of the first movie, so they weren't as funny this time round, and I'm terrible at recognising celebrities so I didn't even realise like, Will Smith and Liam Neeson and Jim Carey and Harrison Ford were IN this.

Same thing happened to me with Highlander 4. I think it was because I was so looking forward to it that it couldn't be as good in reality as I wanted it to be. My disappointment was so great, when I saw it again later, it couldn't have possibly sucked as much as I remembered.
On topic though- The preview had me confused: is he not married to Veronica anymore in this one? Perversely, that's actually going to affect whether or not I go see it.

Veronica has plenty of screen time; and that's all I will say.
