I'm not interested in paying for Finecast now if they'll re-release it in plastic later. Anyone know of cheap alternatives?

the only thing I can imagine would be to build one from scratch.
Its just a gatling style gun on tiny little tracks.
could easily be cobled together from random pieces.
As for a proper model I cannot think of anything.

so long as it's generally the same size and shape and i can tell what it is looking at t, I'd be fine with it. Believe me, I TOTALLY understand the money issue and agree.
I would suggest discussing it with your local TO and the actual players you will be playing against in order to get thier input as to what they will and will not accept. As you can see here in numerous other threads, they are some players (hopefully none locally for you) who will disallow you using it if the "trigger guard" is so much as a millimeter off or the number of spokes in the wheels are different from the "official' models claiming MFA in order to keep you from using it if they are weak against that weapon in order to gain an advantage over you.

I also suggest the Hailstorm cannon. It looks the part, and is idiotically cheaper. At the very least, the rider can be left off (I like the blast shield).

Honestly, just replace the muzzles (Personal tastes, really), add some Aquilas, a couple of skulls, take off the gunner and call if a day.

This is what I use. $20 plus the cost of the tech marine (which I already had). Just leave off the little driver and you are good to go.

I always figured this would be a good option:
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space-Marine-Support/SPACE_MARINE_RAPIER_LASER_DESTROYER.html
It's not super cheap, but it's actually cheaper than the Finecast TFC and you get an extra crew member, who I figure would make a neat devastator sergeant.

I bought these, they're cheaper, easier to put together, easier to paint, and IMO look better as well.
You just need to bring your own Techmarine Gunners, is all.

And all the Techmarines are in Finecast, which is the entire reason people aren't buying the TFC box to begin with.

Hell yeah, for the prices that Finecast has gone up to, at that rate a comparable price in Forgeworld's much superior material is the better option. Simply throw a servo arm backpack on the gunner, and I can;t think of many who'd complain, because it would look awesome.

It's not the fact that the kit is in Finecast that is turning me off from buying it (okay, it's part of the reason). It's the price. It's so much cheaper to buy the Hailstorm Cannon and then convert (or even order separately) the techmarine.
