imperial guard is a nice army. But there are more stuff they should have, give your opinions . Generally I wish the imperial guard have bikes, since the space marines have them why shouldn't the imperial guard have cheaper bikes

LRBT's shouldn't be taking the adverse effect of firing Ordnance weaponry. I want the 5th ed shooting back.

I'd also like to see the IG get Veteran Weapons teams as troops choices. Like with the Vet squad, you just take a unit of these guns, and you're good to go.

I second the bikes idea, or to give rough riders a lot of heavy wep options like plasma, melta, Flamer.

I'd also like the Guard to get their "mini-Titan" to rival the wraithknights and riptides. I'd prefer it to be more balanced than the current cheese meta, though, so Guard can still be a fun army to play with and against.

Some sort of good fast attack option besides the Vendetta. Like maybe a Dune Buggy type vehicle

Maybe HWS could have a vox bit, plus option to pay for it?

Cheaper HWS and the old orbital assault rules at the beginning of the game for each tank or large blast vehicle you have. Been awhile but used to have something like that in 2nd.

An Armored Squadron as a troops choice if you take General Grizmund or Knight Commander Pask as your Warlord.

It'd be like Forge World's Armored Battlegroup list except for people couldn't be huge dicks about it for no reason.

I'd like there to be a "Tank Company" HQ, that lets you take one unit of tanks as a scoring infantry unit. The compulsory troop selection left over could be allowed "mechanic" upgrades, and be placed in a chimera.

Bit of a tactical element there - you have to position the troopers to repair the vehicles, and you're not 100% tank.

Because that'd be overkill against a TAC army.

Obviously you've never played against an armored battlegroup - not scoring means you basically lose every game. It's underpowered to an extreme degree, and the only reason to play it is if you like tanks

And that's why I put down a scoring tank unit, and allowed (some say forced) infantry unit for scoring, in the theoretical next IG codex

I'd rather just see the ability to run an Armored Company, rather than half of an armored company with some goobers, which you can do in the current codex.

1) Better snipers. Really, much better snipers.

2) Some dedicated scout unit in common, not just specialized via al Raheem.

3) Moar commisar rules! Commisars are back and bone and BLAM of IG!

Being optimistic´s worthless if it means ignoring the suffering of this world. Worse than worthless. It´s bloody evil.

I like the idea of this. I would go a step further with it though. Have the current option of having a vet squad (keep the current vet special characters confined to these squads)or..
have the option of taking a veteran platoon (with all the same options th normal veteran squads get + commissar option). The special weapons squads could still be usefull and of course the heavy weapons squads would be usefull and you know, we could have fun with the platoon HQ, remove the conscript option of course. Add in 1 or 2 special character options for the platoon hq.. i would also not let them mob up.
idea for one of the special characters- One that allows a valk to be taken for the Platoon command squad as a ded transport.
idea for another- one that lets the squads mob up.

In scale? 120 millimetres (4.7 in) 55 calibre long L30A1 tank gun, Range, 3,280 yd (on tabletop = infinite), can penetrate 540mm (21in) of armor (tabletop STR 16, AP 0). Only an invulnerable save can withstand it. I think a challenger II would turn a LR into slag without the LR even knowing it was there. When I think LR equivelents in the real world I think about those cruddy French tanks from early WWII.

WAB Ancient Israeli (Canaanites) 2500 points
WAB English 100 Years War (3000 points).

I would love to see a master swordsman of sorts for the hq choice. And maybe a way to make the veterans able to infiltrate with both melee and special weapons so we can get an assault off in tau gun lines.

+1 for AdMech Knight Households. Or maybe something useable in Escalation such as a Capitol Imperialis or a wacky Ordinatus contraption.

Been a while since i played epic. Didnt Guard have leviathans in it? Wouldnt mind having that (easily converted), but wouldnt mind knights either.
I remember jetbikes and such as well. but they didnt really excite me.

Cheaper Sentinals and HWSs, Mogul Kamir as a HQ that lets you take Rough Riders as troops, an AP for the Punisher cannon, Veterans able to infiltrate and HWTs counting as six rather than three guys (to stop them being ID'ed by ACs and stuff).

Some kind of drop pods as a dedicated transport,
Better rough riders, with options for power weapons for the entire squad, not just lances. ( I want Dragoons and Hussars, not just Lancers) Also platoons of Rough Riders, I want a cavalry Regiment.

I would like a buff for Stormtroopers and probably a new heavy tank, (probably Macharius) to combat the newer vehicles like wraithknights and riptides..

2000pts IG. ( based on fallout US Army)

3000pts XIIth Legiones Astartes 8th Assault Company. (Pre heresy)

I want to see two things:

1) Better internal balance. Right now at least half the codex might as well not exist because those units/upgrades are so weak. This needs to change.

2) A statement saying "FW army lists are part of the game, so STFU and stop crying about how it isn't 'real 40k' or you're TFG".

IG don't really need anything new, they just need to make better use of the things they already have.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Guardsmen would be pulped if they used Drop Pods.

Instead of Imperial Guard getting the option for Knight Households they should just get a slightly larger/killier tank dedicated to taking down big beasties. Between the LRBT and Baneblade. Call it a Foe Hammer or something. We don't want everybody to get massive walkers. There's probably a more creative solution than going from Big Walkers to Big Tank though.
