Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Mele Kalikimaka everyone!

We still have the crazyness of the 24th to survive (ah... retail...) but plenty of good cheer and quality family time to all!

To all those who have already reached the big day, and those of us still waiting for the sound of Santa's sleigh, a very merry Christmas.

Fighting on with dignity,
In life and death we deal,
The power and the majesty,
Amidst the blood and steel.

I thought that the 26th was just the hangover from the 24th and 25th???

Merry Christmas fellas!

Almost about noon by the time this is posted here in Ottawa... sort of.
Just a weird question, does anyone else kind of feel like a kid around this time of year? (or is it just me?)

I don't. I'm in my early 20s, and I feel like 60+ around this time of year.

I read an article in The Guardian by an American woman who said that its customary to say "Happy Holidays" in the United States, because "Merry Christmas" might offend people who celebrate Hanukkah, Diwali, Eid, or whatever else.

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/dec/22/better-to-say-merry-christmas-or-happy-holidays

I shall be avoiding any confusion by simply using the term "feth you" when addressing strangers during the festive period.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Just all the more reason to say "Merry Christmas" in my opinion. "Offend", gak.

I prefer mine, but that's good as well. The most bizarre thing about political correctness is that 99% of people hate every aspect of it, and spend all day complaining about it, but everything is still PC? Sit in a public place and complain about the inanity of political correctness and you will be greeted with grins and nods by all and sundry, but we all still practice it?!

Its like minority rule!

Seriously though, how can a pleasant, friendly greeting ever possibly even be offensive, its the intent surely?

I mean, being British and having the belief that women and gay people are equal to men, I personally find Islam to be a repellent belief system, but if a Muslim guy smiles at me and say "Happy Eid" I will still smile back warmly and say "same to you" if only because I appreciate the sentiment.

The whole PC thing got old a decade ago, lets have it said.

This thread is for Dakkanauts to wish each other Merry Christmas, if they so please. Let's leave the discussion of political correctness and the war on Christmas or whatever to the OT forum, thanks.
