Revised Kill Team rules are out now, if I remember correctly. Any of our Orkier members have ideas for a proppa kill team?

The one thing I would rather not hear suggested over and over again is the "Whole lot of Shootas" kill team. I'm already aware that masses of cheap shoota boys are pretty good in such a small scale.

Sounds like a job for Kommandos...mine dressed up like 80's wrestlers and rockers. i.e. Camo print with bright, clashing colors.

You could go for a minimum-size unit of Stormboys plus Boss Zagstrukk for a powerful team leader. Unfortunately, that leaves you with very few points to spare: enough for five kommandos with a big shoota and rokkit launcha or ten shoota boys with a big shoota.

Or you could take a few Deffkoptas. Ignores Cover combined with a twin-linked Rokkit Launcha on a highly mobile and fairly survivable model looks pretty nasty. Three deffkoptas and five lootas would be a formidable amount of firepower. Or just go all-out with five deffkoptas.

What about a kan or two. Also bikes are doing rather good though u'll need shrouded to make it 2+ cover

They are heavy support, so they wouldn't be allowed. Even if they were, it's a big chunk of your points on something that's pretty easy to avoid.

There doesn't seem to be any way to get shrouded in Kill Team now.

The lack of fliers or significant armour means that you can quite happily obliterate the enemies anti-tank potential under repeated S6 shellings. You also get the rather wonderful possibility of Grot Specialists.

I ran a bunch of loots, they pumped out enough shots to the pop the other teams before they got close. it was close but my last one didn't run and won me the game. hiding up stairs in a ruin gave them the great save and could see everything on theboard.

Killa Kans can work in kill team if you go off IA8 Dread Mob, they are fast attack haha

I like the Kommando idea cause it gives a reason to run them.

What im thinking on is some really shiny Nobs with all the fixins, make a few choppy, make a few shooty.

Flash Gitz should be elites........I really would like to run them just cause they would make fun kill teams fluff wise with all their shiny bitz....maybe in the next codex.

I would sign this contract but I already ate the potato

Where can we find the most recent rules? It's a fan-made rule set, right? So it should just be on the interweb somewhere...

No, it's an official GW product.

Aw, shoot! GW and their monetization! I must've been confusing it with Death Race:

Edit: Although, GW also put out official "event packets" with Kill Team rules- are these different?

They are different. I like the new set better. It eliminates 2+ armour, models with more than 2 wounds and a couple of other things.

It also makes definite rulings on things like the Warp Storm table and Brotherhood of Psykers.

Stuck in wit da boyz

run 5 Kommandos with 2 rockets, one deffkopta with rockets and the rest boyz with one rocket.

If brute force doesn't do it, you're not using enough.

Rokkits? Not if you want to win... ever...

I reckon Kommandos are still good though, since they can all infiltrate/outflank. Give one a flamer and something like RENDING for great time

Rending flamers. Lol. But they cost 15 pts maybe rending bigshootas instead? Also, it'd be fluffy if you give them shrouded.

Deleted - no more shrouds Still a kopta can be viable in killteam. 35 pts for a scout t5 2 - wounded model with a tl bigshoota. Mediocre saves but still has some bit of durability. Also, if you go tl missile launcher on it with it's mobility - you can take down crysis suits which u're 100% meeting in kill-team games.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Btw a kopta might work. Also with shrouded to get a 3+ jink or 2+ behind a ruin.

Shrouded is no longer avaible in the USR only stealth now.

Waagh like a bawz

I think he just messed up the name and the effect, the Koptas would get 3+ standard with shrouded

And it'd be fluffy to stealth the Kommandoes, but you could only do one of them... I'm slapping together a simple mod for the Killteam rules that allows one USR for your entire faction to help stuff like this become useable though
