Personally, I'd have an absolutely MASSIVE Skyrim/Oblivion/Morrowind/Fallout style game. The larger races would of course be represented in some fashion (for instance, you'd be able to play as human, eldar or ork, but fighting against Nids/Tau for the story arc), and your choices would have effects on your characters appearance.

If I'm playing a human who gets in close and hacks people up, and tends to get a little indiscriminate with his/her hacking, then I may be "blessed" by Khorne. Each Chaos God, or Sigmar, GEoM, etc. would affect the attributes/appearance of the character in different ways, with various stages from being able to hide your allegiance, to full blown, puss riddled corpulent fat person who cant feel any sort of pain Nurgle lord.

This may be odd but, I'd love to see a 40k themed fighting game. Preferably a 2d fighter, 3d fighters are too slow.

My dream? Make Final Liberation or Chaos Gate run on something newer than Windows ME.

Or how about a Sins of the Solar Empire type Battle fleet gothic game, or a 40k style game based on the Supreme commander game kinda.

And for a massive mmorpg 40k game, i dont think anything would beat it if you kinda mad a 40k version of Star wars Galaxies.

Also noticed that some one already thought of the Xcom/Necromunda idea before i got the chance to post it lol.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need

on the forum. Obviously

Several Ideas...

1) Creative Assembly remaking Final Liberation, or Epic in general. Unlike the old FL, it should have all of the races playable, instead of taunting you (I wanted to play nids, dammit!)

2) Stormtrooper game, Rainbow 6 or republic commando style, with the option to change loadout and equipment between missions.

3) XCOM styled Necromunda or Chaos Gate game. Made by Firaxis.

Well... no... it'd be a browser game with crippling microtransactions and pay-walls, but still, I guy can dream right?

Aside from a lack of loot, I guess you could say that... I'd liken Kill Team to games more like Midway and its ilk.

My dream 40K game?

A sequel to Space Marine, but on the same scale as Battlefield 4, or better yet, Planetside 2.

I want to

1. Control a Dreadnought, deploying in a drop pod amidst enemy lines

2. Pilot a Thunderhawk, dodging AA fire and enemy fighters to drop off squads of Space Marines and tanks, whilst my crew provide fire support.

3. Infiltrate behind enemy lines as a Scout, sabotaging fortifications, laying mines, capturing objectives, assassinating HVT's.

4. Fly Land Speeders and Storm Talons, dogfighting with Ork Fighta's.

5.Dropping from the sky using my jump pack to land amidst a group of terrified Xenos, slice them all up with my lightning claws then leap away before the enemy can retaliate.

6. Drive a Predator or Land Raider in a mass armoured spearhead.

7. And for lols, I want to be an Ork Mekk using a Shokk Attak Gun, firing scared-s***less grots at enemy Space Marines and cackling as the grots rematerialise and defecate inside their Power Armour and bodies.

A grand strategy game where you are fighting over a few planetary systems with integration of space/land battles.

Orks have invaded one of your planets, pushing your troops back to a few heavily defended redoubts; right as they are about to fall your fleet transitions insystem, cuts through their pickets to rain fire on the greenskins and save the day.

Or a good Mordheim/Necromunda squad based rpg game. Preferably using a bit more ambitious of an engine than the new X-Com.

And as previously mentioned; an FPS modeled on Planetside 2 would be awesome.
I'd have Guard vs Orks vs Eldar, with differing balanced stats. Everyone would be a guardsman, boy, or guardian; and you could use in game resources (like getting a MAX in PS2) to deploy as a Space Marine/Nob/Aspect Warrior of various kinds.

I'd just want to be able to play 40k itself with all the rules auto-run for me against computer or another player. Complete with up-to-date list building.

In fact, if the list-building isn't there in any 40k game, I'm somewhat disappointed.

Xcom's vs mode would fit really well for a kill teams sort of game.

Mass Effect + the inquisition would be a fantastic fit.

You could pick and choose a team from a variety of imperial factions. Biotics could be psykers, synthetics are the mechanicus. Jump around the galaxy completing a bunch of missions.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Indeed. A Kill Team game using that formula would be awesome.

Well mine would be:

DayZ Style survival in a huge gothic city, with other scared humans (other players) after some kind of (demon, tyranids, nurgle plague) has hit the city.

First person massive online (mix red orchestra and planetside 2), make it hard. Brutally challenging and lots of dying and screaming.

Or a mount and blade style game for smaller skirmish/rpg style warfare.

This would be cool, though I think I'd prefer some form of "level" Either "you just killed X amount of tyranids, and have allowed a single rescue ship to get you out before exterminatus" followed by "but it crashed in a neighboring sector" and start again, vs a nurgle plague. Followed by being lost in the warp on your new ship, but attacked by pure daemons of the warp

Ancient Venerable Dark Angels Dreadnought

Skyrim-style RPG where you play as the Lost and the Damned or a Chaos Space marine on the edge the Eye of Terror and live the life of a heretical pirate in service to the Dark Gods.

Tell me how that would not be immensely fun. Rise up the ranks until you command a whole warband of Lost and the Damned and CSM's while managing your own ship. Ten planets to explore, with a working system of imperial convoys for you to hijack and random attacks by Eldar Corsairs and Dark Eldar Hunters.

That and pretty much what they're doing with Eternal Crusade.

I'd buy it.
Chaos Gate was like Xcom but you could only play as smurfs. They did another turnbased as were you played as the Eldar. Though years before that they did W40k Liberation were you were retaking a planet that had fallen to the orks. you could field titans against the orks which was awesome. each territory you captured gave different resources and sometimes you could liberate captive units or rescue units stuck behind enemy lines. they had planned to add other races to Liberation in expansions but sadly the game did not catch on.

Ask not what the Emperor can do for you but ask how you may give your life for the Emperor.

There's 40k Squad Command as well for the... PSP I think. Surprisingly, it's supposed to be nails hard.

Final Liberation was very similar to Epic 40k in how it played. And was pretty epic in lots of ways. (hehe, I'm funny)

Rites of War (The Eldar game), was basically a reskinned Panzer General. I found it pretty awful.

Chaos Gate was pretty awesome but unstable and buggy as hell. I also seem to remember it being incredibly difficult too, but that might have just been my age. But generally speaking, in a mission you had 5 tactical marines up against 10 chaos marines and at least another 10 cultists. Chaos marines were just as good as tacticals. Oh, and you ran out of ammo really easily.

Eternal Plague

I would like it to be like SimCity, but here is what the box would read-

GW Executive-

Create and control your miniature empire with more power than ever before. With Warhammer 40k, you get all the features of the original Warhammer plus 40k more. Expand your Warhammer 40k with a new edition, new codices, new codex supplements, new mandatory alternative rulebooks, new internet dataslates and formations, and new integration of FW to your rule line, including those pesky experimental rules no one likes to play with because they might be too OP. Take on 13 new challenges such as "Please your Investor Overlords" and "What Horrors can Matt Ward and C.S. Goto Unleash Today?" or create your own. Unleash four new disasters including an unforgiving price increase and plummeting bottom lines. This is truly GW Executive without limits!

I actually thought of something similar.

I would probably want to make it Eldar-centric, but that's my bias, but I think they would fit well for an air-dasher. Maybe based in the Commoragh arenas with fighting between captured races - maybe top end ones so captured Space Marine Chapter Master is a character, along with some capured Exarchs and maybe Genestears with other characters like a Wych Succubus that are playable.

If you do really well, instead of fighting the normal last boss, Arhra comes onto the screen, beats up the last boss leaving him on the ground and you fight Arhra instead.

Meh, why limit it, just take 2 top characters from each faction. It's not like you will be playing a fighting game for the story.

Yeah, I would include characters from each faction though I think having uniquely named 'generic' ones rather than existing ones is more to my taste, because it would be interesting to include different 'wargear' loadouts, making the characters pretty different.

e.g. You can take a Lightning Claw Chaptermaster, or he can swap them out for a TH/SS which is a different style. The Scorpion Exarch can have the two-handed Biting Blade chainsword, or go with claw and sword - and so on.
