Sorry but no dice. People like marines... their models sell better and so do their books which is why they get made. In any case, they're currently fleshing out the horus heresy which is a marine on marine primarily setting... what do you expect them to make?

Oh, I understand about the Horus Heresy. But even before the Heresy series, most of FW's products are Imperial.
Which is why I'm hoping they'll do War in Heaven to balance it out.

Eh, they never sell the specialists together. Every special option is separate, from what I noticed at least.

It is one heavy weapon per 3 Thallax. So a full unit of 9 Thallax can upgrade a total of 3 lightning guns to heavy(er) weapons.

Not that I'm suggesting that you get more, just curious.
I'm surprised that FW don't just sell these as an upgrade considering all the "bits" type kits we've had recently.

Completely agree. As someone that also has 15 of them, I feel a bit hosed that I can't get the special weapons (which should have just been included in the kit to begin with) by themselves.
@Medium - Yes, you can pretty much field all Thallax, as they're troops. You'd still need an HQ though.

Eventually, once they've done a few more books, we'll have enough units to warrant an entire Mechanicum list (rather than the partial lists with only a few options that we've been getting).
So more Thrall types, more regular troops beyond Thallaxii, more robots, our own vehicles, and different Tech-Priest units (like the Myrmidons). When? Who knows - this is speculation at this point - but it seems that by the time we hit a "War on Mars" book (which they have to do, they're called 'Forge World' after all) these things will be complete.

Rumors are one of the books will include an entire army list for Dark Mechanicum, so there's a good chance that'd be the one you're looking forward to.

Sooo.. I've got on pretty solid authority that the HH book after Phall will actually BE the War on Mars book, and not Prospero like we all thought, with a potential 4Q2014 release....

I don't know any insider details but it feels like they're drawing out the HH a bit too long IMO. I fully realize it is the single biggest chain of events in 40k (and the only real time the plot advanced...10,000 years ago!) but 6+ books at the pace they come out with stuff feels like too long. One Istvaan book, one Terra book, one "other" astartes book, and one "other" human (AM, Imperial Army) book would have sufficed and allowed them to return to some more modern setting (with some xenos love sprinkled in) while still doing the HH setting justice.

I'll assume you've read through the FW HH books, right? (not trying to be a douche here; honestly just asking) I mean, there's a LOOOOOOTTT of stuff in each one of those, both gameplay and story wise. I'm just not exactly sure where they'd "trim the fat," as it were, in those books. If they made a single book, it would have to be gigantic.
I think the fortunate thing about it all is that FW has commmiteed to upping their produciton pace of the HH stuff, with their goal to release two books a year. Should mean only another year more until nearly all the Legions are represented in a FW book.

I'm not sure how every legion can be done at that pace in another year with the previous rumors of 3 Istvaan books and 3 more Ultima Segmentum books... with talk now of a Mars specific book (source?) somewhere in between... and that's not even touching the Battle for Terra and the legions that will be covered there. I do hope they shed some light on this at either their open day or the subsequent HH weekender.

Oh, I don't think they'll be "done" but having them all represented within that time frame is pretty reasonable.
I mean, personally, I want as many books as they're willing to do.
Obviously we're getting Prospero and that'll include Wolves, Sons, and Sisters of Silence at a minimum
I'd be fine with an entire book on Calth; they could introduce some really cool scenarios like underground warfare and zero-g boarding actions.
Obviously you COULD do a whole Signus book that really introduced the BA and Demons, and you could potentially add the "space wolves watch pack" in the book as well and make them a 0-1 limit for all loyal armies.
For me, the biggest issue is figuring out when to insert the Scars and Dark Angels.

Scars (and Custodes) would be battle on Terra (of which they had a significant part) and Dark Angels would be the Epilogue story of the battle between Luther and the Lion, I guess.

Thats all I can think, too. It just seems so LATE to get them into the game....
They could have gotten away with introducting the custodes in a Isstvan Book 3, or perhaps at Prospero, as like, a 0-1 option for loyalist armies.

Thing is, I guess if they have Scars and Custodes before Battle of Terra, then what's left for Battle of Terra?
....come to think about it, I wonder if they'll have the balls to make the Emperor an HQ choice for a Custodes army in the Battle of Terra book. How else are you gonna play out a battle on Horus' ship?
