There exists a thing called escapism, Corporal. If I trust someone enough to allow them control of my life, it's fething rare enough. Relaxing enough to allow Amelia to best me is not the same as incompetence. It's a very particular need, knowing that limit.

He won't. We've dealt with other... associates from wherever this gue'la comes from, but they aren't a conquering force. Besides, we've fended off tyranids, orks, and even creatures from the necronomicon, and its horrors. At this point, few mortal creatures seem to compare.

It's fortunate that I'm on a permanent payroll of the commisariat and Imperium at large. Otherwise I might not take kindly to mercenaries coming here so openly.

I am not impressed. You can threaten all you wish, but he has already begun making arrangements to purchase the Room from the current landowner. And the current landowner is me, so unless you make a far better offer than he will, I'm afraid the Room will soon become a part of the Builder League United

Well you see, working as a merc has made me a rich man, so I bought the land from the previous owner. He was like you, but said that the land held no more purpose for him. So the land is now mine
