Some of my friends have been making these really dumb jokes about how my army is still 4th ed. Admittedly some are funny but I wondered if other people have had something similar?

That happens rarely . Only thing I can remember is making fun of people who were told that nid are bad in 5th , still bought the models and then complained that other armies are OP . Ah and one guy who lived in UK for a long time and had a DKoK army , he went in to every story in my city and at the time there was 6 or 7 I think and in everyone he had a fight with the players and the store owners , about how FW is offical and what does it mean , he can't play it etc. It happened in 5th and there are still legends about him .

Never heard that one. Nuns with guns yes. Course, i play in a family friendly shop and only one guy used them.

People used to cut on my paint scheme for my old chaos army. Amethyst purple with gold trim and special/heavy weapons and the odd fancy bit jade green. They were called the purple pansies among other things. Didn't bother me, I just trounced them anyway and asked them how they liked being slapped around by them. lol

I get harassed all the time when I'm playing my necrons. Cheesecrons, brokecrons, cheese arks, ect. It gets annoying but it won't stop me from fielding robotic death machines.

Yes. I ignore it, as their opinions aren't worth the synapses firing.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

If you gather all the flak together you can add it to your force to compensate

You see, I bring a giant binder and use my phone's camera to write down what happens and take pictures of it and then turn it into a short story later and people think I drag the game out too long doing this.

As another poster suggests, do you tell people to eat your croissants when you fly at them?

In my case, I've been getting flak for playing Sisters for years and years now.

This has lessened somewhat now that they have a new Codex released.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

People always b*tch about my daemon army. Ohhh look at all those FMCs... I'm like " I don't have tanks and las cannons, Daemon Princes are my heavy support / anti mech" Tyranids don't get flak for having 6+ monsters on the table, but when I bring my monsters the tears start flooding.

Nope. Actually I don't run any flyers with my necrons. Occasionally ill haw a Nightshroud flying around but that's it. (We play FW with my group) and I really try to keep the cheese to a minimum. The cheesiest my lists have gotten is that I generally run 2 ahnilation barges and a destroyer lord with MSS ( I understand MSS hate) wit a unit of 3 Arcanthrites.

But everything in the army gets called cheese or OP. Warscythes are OP, reanimation protocols are OP, Tesla is OP, Quantum shielding is OP, Jink saves on my skimmers is OP.... I could go on...

Rather surprisingly, I am not teased about my black and pink CSM army by any of my friends. They actually like their appearance, even though all of us are quite manly.

I've been repeatedly ranting about my best friend's Flyrant, and I habitually repeat after him "IT'S SWOOPING!". However, I've assembled my Quad Cannon today, so...

Drukhari - 4.7k
Space Marines - 3.1k
Chaos Space Marines - 2.9k

I don't get teased so much as people tell me my fluffy builds aren't competitive. Well duh! I am well aware of the fact in 6th edition 6 Leman Russ aren't generally recommended.

But on the very rare occasion I get a win I do so enjoy it.
