It's two halves of the Lord, and it appears that he stands on something carried by two regular Dwarfs. So not an integrated base. Of course, none of that matters as it's never come out, but still.

Bit annoying that you have to do multiple orders to get the stuff you want.

I'll admit to not having bought anything for WFB in a while but...
$21US for a single character in plastic?

for GW plastic single pack minis that's about it
(and unlike their overcharging for plastic troop boxes where economies of scale and the ability to sell lots to each player it's probably not too unreasonable)

Just wait until it's all out and order it at once.

Herald of Nurgle is $25 per model already, so it could be worse.
Of all the ridiculous prices, I don't particularly mind an overpriced character or two, since the plastic characters tend to be excellent sculpts, and are the best material for converting.

Herald of Nurgle is a 25mm base v. 20mm--and that guy is actually kind of big comparatively.

So Hammerers are $50/ten with the new release, as opposed to 24.75 for 5 and 27.75 for command before. So really not a price increase or a price increase of $0.05 per model if you don't need command.

Yeah, but plastic is for plebs. Metal on the other hand, now that's something only the best of the best could appreciate.
Wait, they weren't finecast, right?

So the first 2 pics are of the longbeards who have different arms (HW, Shield) and new heads - conical helmets and long beards.
The Hammerer build has the flat helmets.
So I'm guessing no GW for the longbeards? Or maybe use the Hammers, but does the beard get in the way. Will they not have the great Weapon option in the new book?
EDIT: although you can see the words "two handed axe' under the image of the longbeards.

This is the first time in a while I've really been impressed with the aesthetic of a new GW kit. Those Longbeards look great and I like that they've increased the height of the dwarfs.
But unfortunately, there's the ridiculous price. GW take note... you would have had some of Flashman's hard earned if these had been reasonably priced. But looks like you will lose more money to Fantasy Flight this month

Hmmm...Is that banner pole on the Longbeard's picture sticking its tongue out to the enemy? (that pink thingy looks like a tongue, does it not?)
To me the Dwarfs look...I don't know...tall, but maybe that is due to the page.

It is just so bad that we are having to see these miniatures on flash-exposed, bent magazine pages.
Seriously, what the feth are they thinking... those are quite obviously some great looking minis, and first impressions are being tarnished by these crappy photos. Really, I know the madness has been going on for a while now, but the company has to have some nous of how product marketing works and release the official, high res photos the moment the leaks have hit the internet.

Even if GW was prepared to show stuff early the internetwebz would still want to see stuff earlier than that and thus we'd be looking at crappy pictures anyway (but sooner)
car manufacturers do glitzy shows for new models often months (or even years) before you can buy them, but it doesn't stop motoring mags showing pictures of test vehicals covered in duct tape and fake bits snapped via long lenses when they were being tested

Oh I don't know - I'm still mighty impressed with those longbeards. I loved the old metals and have a huge unit of them - but immediately started dreaming of the plastic ones when I saw that latest image - bent & shiny though it was.
The real image that is tarnishing my impression of them is the picture of the price. They need to start doing official price reveals before it leaks to the internet. Maybe show me a high res image of just the first digit and the dollar sign. Make it look really sexy. Then just tease the next number a little. Finally - show me the whole thing only when I have all three boxes in my hand at the cash register. That gives me less time to realize that that $180 Canadian could have bought an Entire Warmachine army and that I should just stick with my old metals.

Nah, that looks like a gemstone to me, if it was his tongue then it's a really long one as it's poking out his beard!
Definitely changing my mind about these dwarfs now after seeing more picture, still don't like the new character though, his beard isn't big enough! He should be one giant beard ith axes poking out the side damn it

I'm a bit annoyed about this release because I know I'll have moments of weakness on empty saturdays walking past GW where I'll think "Maybe the hammerers are worth it for 35 euro!"
And then I'll have to do the mental see-saw where I berate myself for being an idiot and walk on, just like I have to do with the Hunter Orcs on wargs every month or so.

The Longbeards do indeed look ace! But the Hammerers... almost as monopose as the old metals

The new set looks lovely. As others have said, a pity that GW is still pricing as it has been lately--it's like a cold shower for my gaming urges.
I can't help but wonder how they'll make the ironbreakers look more armoured than these models. Armoured beards!?

Thanks, helps to know what I'm buying. The only thing I don't like is that the guy in the front row is leaning on his shield.
