I can't help but wonder how they'll make the ironbreakers look more armoured than these models. Armoured beards!?
I feel as though this new Hammerers box could have been a "Hammerers/Ironbreakers" dual kit with just some hand weapon+shield arm options added in. I mean don't they now basically have the same helmet/armor style as the old ironbreakers, more or less?

If those are the longbeards then I wonder what the ironbreakers will look like, will the longbeards perhaps get a +1 str for there axes? Each unit needs a reason to take them, very curious

Longbeards are currently stronger than warriors, I guess that will remain true.
I was hoping they'd take the direction they have with the shields, really lives up to some of GW's awesome art for Dwarves. Shame the kit is so ludicrously over priced. I know I keep banging on about that but I guess this is the first time outside the Hobbit I've really been tempted by a kit that has that price tag.
Tre Manor's Dwarves will have to fill that niche for me

I was really hoping for a resculpt of the current warriors though, they are beyond hideous.
Hmm, no one will mind if I use the new LB kit as warriors, will they?

Excellent models.
Not sure what different poses you'd expect from the Dwarves with two handed weapons. Fighting in tight ranks with a hammer as tall as you are you don't want Lefty McBackswing screwing around with his bold new combat techniques.

Agree, these look rather nice. Some of the recent (GW) releases looked a bit plastic toy-ish (not just the big stuff), and these look alive and have some character (and seem to not have these bent/broken necks the old plastic dwarves had).

car manufacturers do glitzy shows for new models often months (or even years) before you can buy them, but it doesn't stop motoring mags showing pictures of test vehicals covered in duct tape and fake bits snapped via long lenses when they were being tested
And which is fresher in the customer's mind in each case? I'd wager the car buyer is thinking about the glossy, appealing marketing over the sketchy unofficial preview shots of the prototype they saw ages ago, while the GW customer either knows nothing about upcoming releases or is forming their opinion based entirely on the sketchy unofficial previews which, thanks to GW's lunatic marketing policy, only appear a week or two in advance of the release.
In this specific case, some better shots have leaked before I placed my AoW order, and I might consider picking up a box on the strength of the Longbeards(more likely I'll ebay a couple from a bitz site), but I wouldn't even have been thinking about AoW at all if GW had a marketing strategy beyond "hurr we're so awesome people love to buy our stuffz durr".

I wouldn't be surprised if they just made Longbeards the new Ironbreakers and got rid of Ironbreakers completely. They look more up-armoured than Warriors so it's not a stretch to think they'd have Gromril Armour instead of just heavy... and at the end of the day Ironbreakers were just Longbeards with Gromril armour anyways. And it's one less plastic kit they need to make.

Co-sign. Green stuff up some face masks, and you're gtg. They look epic as is, though!
Only think I'm not liking about GW's new releases these days, is the "at ease" pose all the new models seem to have. Aside from that, keep up the good work G-Dub!

No, that is stupid. There wouldn't be any crappy pictures for people to leak if the web pics were to be released first. Or do you think the leakers would take the ready-to-share jpgs and deliberately add glare and warp to make their scoop worse?

For 25% off, I probably will end up buying those longhammerers. All the extra bits will go a long way to sprucing up my AoW dwarfs. And my box full of shamefully unassembled GW dwarfs.
Crikey, they are some seriously nice Dwarf miniatures. I especially like the King. I'm sorely tempted to pick him up just to dab some paint on.
Nicest GW mini I've seen in a while that one.
Anyway, the infantry formations look incredibly cool, right up there with Paniagua and Scibor's excellent and characterful height challenged beardy men.
However, when it's all said and done... the bonkers pricing means I'm quite happy to have plumped for some Titan Forge Abyssal/Chaos/Evil Dwarfs when I had the chance so no regrets from me!
I'm just crossing my fingers that the rumours of 9th edition reverting to smaller units is true, might tempt me with these guys in the future.

Oh, I hadn't even considered that. Most of the recent 10 man releases have been around the $70 mark - hopefully that doesn't continue to climb. The price gouge in Aus is really getting ridiculous.

Those look fantastic, but at $60CAD for 10, way too expensive for me to even want to think about. I'd rather save the money for other things where my dollar will go farther. Excellent minis, but the price is just insane (unless something magical occurs and you can actually make a full, viable unit in WFB with only 10 minis ). I'm not holding my breath.

The Hammerer build has the flat helmets.
So I'm guessing no GW for the longbeards? Or maybe use the Hammers, but does the beard get in the way. Will they not have the great Weapon option in the new book?
EDIT: although you can see the words "two handed axe' under the image of the longbeards.
got the new white dwarf.
yes you can build them with two handed axe, but they look better with the shield imo
