He's a pretentious turd-muffin whose been coasting on selling puerile pulp fiction (pun definitely intended) his entire life. To make it worse, he then turns around and craps on the fans who prop his career up. His work lacks originality, artistic merit, or intellectual substance. I'll still watch it, don't get me wrong, because it's definitely entertaining. (Bubblegum is fun to chew sometimes--but it's still lacking in any nutritional merit.) I just won't watch it if I'm paying for it.
It's also no secret that he's a tantrum-throwing child. It's behavior he's demonstrated plenty of times before. I'm not especially shocked to see he's failed to evolve in the last twenty years. Lord knows his movies haven't.
I am sure this is the sort of geek rage that made Tarantino not want to engage with comic book fans in the first place.
I mean let's face it. Fans of anything can be rather awful to deal with. Geeks of something are just a nightmare.
And to the topic at hand, I am still not seeing what Tarantino did as a tantrum, awesome alliteration aside. Traintino had a project he was passionate about get leaked by people he trusted. Ouch. That would sap my interest in a project pretty quickly too and if I had the F U money that Tarantino has why wouldn't I walk away and focus on another project that wasn't so mired in drama and negativity?
Would anyone want to work on a project for 1-2 years if it started out of the gate with bad blood? Especially if you didn't have to work on that project to feed yourself or your family? Why put up with so much nonsense if you don't have to?

Personally, I'm hoping he uses it as inspiration, and creates a revenge caper about a producer hiring a very competent assassin to assault the complexes of the treacherous stars that leaked his film. It could combine the action and bloodspray of Kill Bill volume 1 with the ridiculous premise of Scott Pilgrim vs the World, investing recognizable stars with powers, fighting skills, personal armies, or possibly big robots. I would love to see more big robots.

Orkeosaurus, on homophobia, the nature of homosexuality, and the greatness of George Takei.
English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleyways and mugs them for loose grammar.

Never seen Deathproof, and I didn't care much for Jackie Brown, but the rest of 'em are great.

I've never really disliked a Tarantino movie after seeing it more than once. I wasn't a sold on KBII or Inglorious the first tiem through, but with subsequent viewings they clicked better.
It's really about the characters and the dialogue. Which is why some of the dialogue in Dusk til Dawn is so good; he wrote the screenplay (but didn't direct it).
I think you have to watch his films twice, there are always little things I missed the first time through.
