I hope this is true. I've been struggling to find an appropriate centrepiece for my army, and a black-and-pink Knight would be perfect.
There is fluff precedent for Chaos Knights, and Slaaneshi at that, with Molech and House Devine. Let's just hope that GW doesn't forget about that.

Sad thing is that "freeblades sell their services to anyone" is still a better fluff excuse for allies than almost every other combination out there...

Concerns Imperial Knights, New Web Page and Pre-Order changes.
1) Imperial Knights box is small, about the same size as a Rhino box. Contains 2x Decal Sheets (Lots and lots of decals for those that enjoy these), a 90mm x 120mm flying base.
2) Rules don't appear to be included in the box, for right now it looks like the White Dwarf is its only place. No additional info has been fully revealed concerning how its used, who uses it, etc.
3) New Web Page: new Direct Order computers are hitting the stores (in North America at least) that are being upgraded (for improvement reasons) and to allow better interface with the new Web Store. Software is being pumped through the Tills (registers) that will allow managers to perform detailed look ups or by use of the Fuzzy Product look up button.
4) Pre-Orders: Due to some complaints, concerns, etc by some UK/European customers and/or managers, the pre-order time is being changed effective tomorrow. Before in North America you could jump on pre-orders the day before at approximately 6pm, which was midnight or later in UK/Europe. So, now it will begin at 1pm Central time (US), not sure when that is in the UK/Europe but Im sure they can figure that out.
5) This last part is an oddity. At the recent HSC in North America (collaborating info I had from my UK source) is that GW feels (whether rightly or not...Im thinking not) that the whole reason we purchase miniatures is not because of what they can do in a game (rules wise) but we do so because of how they look. That surprised some of us. Combined that with the same reason the Codex/Army book comes out later, that might indicate a disconnect between corporate and its customer base. We have decided to dig on this issue, conduct surveys across the US GW/Independent stores to get an actual consensus. What we will do with that info? No idea yet. The concern is, does GW really feel that way, is it accurate or is it more of a "training" issue towards managers and such.
If it is a training issue, its designed to ensure that employees sell the models based more on the aesthetics then the benefits to the customer. Which is not good in training, where it was concerned that you do both, especially explaining how "Awesome miniature (X) can do all this stuff and it makes a great center piece..." for example.

Weekly release model is killing me.
I budget on a monthly basis and only purchase models that are both cool looking and rules strong. Knights fit this criteria, but the monthly budget would only allow for one.
So here's the problem: do freelancers get their own model? What the hell else comes out this month that I'd rather buy?
Not knowing is killing me.

I don't mind weekly releases, but it'd be nice if they actually told you up front what was being released that month.
For some reason GW is scared of pre-release hype. It's an interesting thing, because video game companies thrive on it, are the markets really that different that miniatures are harmed by hype while video game publishers would do anything to drum up hype?

Who other than the children are we going to give the giant debt that I am thinking about incurring due to these Knights? The very least ... they can not say I never gave them anything!

The pictures actually do look like they're from White Dwarf. The WIP shot has a tiny sliver of white at the upper right hand corner which suggests the picture is part of an article.
I have the WD right here, and yes, the pictures are from it

Nothing to get excited about, just confirms the price and lets you buy 5 with a single click (no discount) but no signs of the rules yet.
At 8 inches tall the Imperial Knight is a towering war engine. Crafted in the Dark Age of Technology and resplendent with gothic details it presents a unique silhouette both in a display cabinet and on the battlefield. Fighting alongside armies of the Imperium, most Imperial Knights are part of a Knightly House. They are affiliated with either the Imperium or the Adeptus Mechanicus. Some Imperial Knights choose to forsake all ties to a noble house. Known as Freeblades, they are masters of their own destiny.
Fully jointed at the head, arms and waist this kit allows you to create some wonderful poses. You can assemble the Imperial Knight as a Knight Paladin armed with a Rapid-fire battle cannon or a Knight Errant armed with a Thermal cannon. Both are equipped with a Reaper chainsword and protected by an Ion Shield. Each also has the option to add Heavy Stubbers. You have the choice of three unique face-plates: one for Mechanicus affiliated Knights and two for Imperial Knights.
This plastic kit makes one Imperial Knight and contains a staggering 147 components and an Imperial Knight Transfer Sheet.

Well if that Knights digital codex is true( wich i'm really not sure, since there was no mention of it in the Dwarf, while the LotD codex was featured in it), then we might have more answers.
But for now the way you read it, you can take them as Primary 3-6 or as allies, but its not said who can and can't take them, so its everyone!, no mention of Escalation, and Lords of War Slots or anything else.
And the fact that you can take 3 of them in allies, kinda goes around the Lord of War slot, since you can have only ONE LoW slot per detachement...
So yeah, thats all there is to it for now, gotta wait tommorow to see if they put online a Knight codex or not.

Well got a debate going on as others think its only escalation cause of the D melee weapon, where I think they're more heavy support allies like Riptides or Wraithknights
So we'll see

I know... suspension of disbelief and all.. but you'd think that a big armored robot wouldn't have the delicate hydraulic lines so exposed every chance they get at least from the front. Obviously there is no way of knowing but I suspect the dreadnought leg/shin covers might work well for added armor bits on the biceps. Overall it's still a very impressive looking kit.

Yeah, 8" will make it just a half inch shorter than the DF Levi. I can't wait to get one to add to my collection of 28mm Mechs. I will have to scratch build some new weapon options however.
That is not a great comparison as the Riptide is on some terrain lifting it about half an inch at a guess.
