One of the big things about transferring from Concept to Final is having to set up that model for the casting process. Sorry to hear you don't like the render, but I promise you the model in hand looks awesome!

Due to disagreements in the past with Battlefoam, I doubt TheWarStore would be willing to carry their miniatures game.
And due to Miniature Market providing 20%+ discounts, they won't distribute to them either. Unfortunately that'd about be the only way I'd buy them - the prices are insane. Boutique prices for an unestablished army scale game, no thanks.

I don't totally agree with the price complaints... yeah it's not cheap but it's not that expensive either. Really the only pricey thing are the large tanks which are made from solid, heavy resin. This game isn't as expensive as most think it is when compared to other popular table top games (warmachine/40k, etc). It may be slightly more expensive than infinity or M2E, but I have found this to be the most fun skirmish game I've played (and the theme/minis are awesome). It is also played on a 6'x4' board even with a 750 point game (I use my ROB board and 40k scenery).
1500 point startup army for 40k: $400 on average (lets be honest, most of us 40k players have WAY more than that invested)
base 750 point startup for WWX: $70-$120 on average
Wyatt Earp - 16
Doc Holliday - 15
Berringer - 14
Long Tree - 14
DC member - 13
Gatling dude - 14
interceptor - 20
faction starter: $70 (it is under 750 points though)
I have done well with the second build. Most people around here play 750 points, and they custom build a good army for around $90 which isn't bad for any regular gamer (the unit's rules are posted on WWX's website so one can plan an army before buying).
There are two outlets for discounts too. Nobleknight near the Wisconsin/Illinois border sells the stuff for a small discount, or there are cheaper minis on ebay (about the same discount as nobleknight has). I have personally bought almost all my stuff from outlaw miniatures or the Kickstarter as I think it's a safer route in case I receive a rare miscast.

This one says it comes with a 'huge' base, but the only thing I can find on their store is the 'massive' base, and that's 4.5".
I don't think this one is on a 4.5" base, but... maybe?
Ugh.. who the hell uses Imperial for base sizes?
So.. 'Large' is 57.15mm, or close to a Dreadnaught (60mm) base and 'Massive' is 114.3mm or close to a Colossal (120mm) base. Its bad enough they went with the special snowflake 'platform' bases, they could have at least made them the same foot print as the rest of the industry.
Didn't this have a Train model during the KS? Did that get released to the public?
Agreed!
And they've taken a VERY aggressive stance in terms of what bases will be 'legal' for their 'official' tournaments.
That probably won't be too much of an issue, but still...
The train was apparently way undercosted during the Kickstarter.
It is a rather impressive, and massive, monstrosity of resin. If you managed to get it during the KS you got it at a never to be seen again price.
I could see a lot of cross over use for that train outside of WWX.
The excess use of rivets though perfectly fit with the theme, but if you are feeling brave and could sand them out, you have your self a nice little armored war train that could be used in something else.

The models look...interesting, particularly that fire breathing eagle. The owner of the FLGS that I work at handed me a mini today and told me he didn't need it or know what it was (and neither did I, but it fits the aesthetics of the models here).
I think I may be interested in the game, as there aren't that May late-1800s style games around. But, are there actually any rules out?
Space Marines, Orks, Imperial Guard, Chaos, Tau, Necrons, Germans (LW), Protectorate of Menoth

Is there a code needed to get the holiday discount? Prices don't seem any different from what I see.

There I was thinking "hey I like the look of those" as a WoW player ; p The Scorpion reminds me of this too. Not saying they copied it, just that it shares an "mechanical weaponized scorpion" style.
