@Paradigm: No airbrush because:
A: Expense
B: No idea how to use one.
C: They are cheating ( I jest).
The Leadbelcher spray helped a lot though.
@AoV: Hope it brings you some inspiration.
@Theo: That is where his name comes from, although it is more a nod to his WCW manager Sir William (Memphis legend Superstar Bill Dundee) when Steven Regal was a Lord circa '93/'94.
@FSU, thank you.
Now just the terrain to go and that is the whole box set done. I want to add the...Errr...groin penant to Sir William though.

Nice looking Knights, Thraxas. Did you magnetize the waist joint? I'm kind of tempted to try it, but I'm afraid my magnets won't be strong enough to fully support that upler body weight.

@Ustrello, that would certainly be dishonourable, and thus Chaotic. The poor fellow would not stand a chance.
@Barzam: No magnets, and currently unglued. I may leave it that way as the torso stay on under their own weight.

It just means so much less faffing about with brushwork, it gives an extremely smooth finish as well.
In other news after an order/refund snafu Forge World have given me a £50 gift voucher...now to decide what to spend it on.
I have also got a ticket for Warhammer Fest a week Saturday.

I went for the Deimos Pattern Whirlwind Scorpius in the end, all told about £9 with postage as a result of the voucher.
Just a quick update, got the terrain from "Renegade" done as well. Nothing spectacular, I plan to revisit it and add detail in the future but it means that the boxed set is done:
It even all fits in the box...and you can close the lid.

They're not magnets Mym, the Knight has a plastic plug at the top of the waist joint so you can sit the torso fairly comfortably on top.

Aov is right, no magnets on the Knights, they really do sit atop well at the waist join without them. If you want alternate weapons magnets are obviously the way to go.
Just a couple of figures done yesterday, firstly:
Captain Ansiel of the 4th Company.
He has been sat around with a red basecoat and aggrax earthshade wash for too long, so I decided to finish him up yesterday. It has motivated me to do a bit more work on my BA. Apologies as the light was not too good this morning but I am really pleased with him:
I also finished off the final of miniature of my "shooty" cultists:
I have no idea what I will be painting next...
Thanks for looking.

Finally a marine captain that remembers to wear his helmet . Good stuff Thraxas , He is also not over blinged, yet still pulls off the character role nicely.

Cheers everyone, I was happy with the conversion (well more of a kitbash really) as the original helmet is just plain daft.
Am returning to the Genestealer Cult from Deathwatch now, just 4 "gangers", the 4 Aberrants, 2 Purestrains and 12 hybrids to go.

Got the Aberrants and Purestrains from Deathwatch: Overkill done. I am not the biggest fan of painting skin so the Aberrants were a bit of a pain, but they fit in well with the other cult miniatures I have done. The purestrains are more bright in colour to represent the descent (or ascension if you are that way inclined) of becoming a true alien.
Group shot:
Onto some hybrids later today, my Deimos pattern Whirlwind Scorpius arrived today and is currently having a bath and it is onto Warhammer Fest tomorrow.
Thanks for looking.

So a touch of progress, got the Whirlwind Scorpius made up. This was my first FW tank kit so I was a bit daunted, but it went together fine as the plastic rhino provided a stable and reliable chassis to build around.
At Warhammer Fest today I did not go mad, just bought a few AL additions, namely Armillus Dynat, an AL Contemptor (who will get 2 Melta arms courtesy of Betrayal At Calth), the AL dice and the Age of Darkness Legion book.
I also found something that money cannot buy...
And this beast too. I want one whenever they are released but will not be paying the £300+ to get one:
Any questions? Feel free to ask.
