between this and three other threads, all it is about is whining that GW sucks. If it sucks so bad, find another game! or is it more fun to not play at all, give them your money, and then complain about it? my god, you'd think this was an abusive relationship from the looks of it.

If you're going to gripe about people's griping can you at least bother to use proper capitalization? Christ, you're not 5 years old anymore. There is just no excuse.

The complainer complaining about complaints, aside we'll have to just play the "wait and see" game to see if FAQs come back I suppose.

wow... a whole paragraph complaining that I don't capitalize... sorry, I hate touchscreens.

and yes, this thread is pointless and has been flagged because all we have to do is wait. so many people on here are so eager to pull the trigger on anything GW does. they could.halve the price of everything and people would still whine.

Three short sentences is hardly a "paragraph". And hating a touchscreen is not an excuse. If you want people to take you seriously than at least put the effort into your posts to give us a reason to do so.

This thread is breaking no rules, and really isn't complaining about anything, more of discussing about the fact that the FAQs are missing and then discussing what is happening (as well as trying to squeeze more info out of GW about it). If this thread was locked we'd just get 10 more threads just like this one asking where the FAQs went so if anything this thread is providing a service to the 40k General section by keeping it all in one thread.

Er, no, they wouldn't. That's a horribly absurd suggestion. Look for the thread about the Armored Fist squad deal on GW- people are praising that as a nice step forward.

People complain about things for a varied list of reasons, and sometimes they happen to be good reasons. The loss of FAQs is a good reason.

Honestly, what would your opinion be on this if GW does not, in fact, bring back FAQs? "That'll teach those whiners?"

Looking at Viewfinder's posting, he's angrily defending GW's right to violate him and every other player in every other post.

Indeed.

If you have no interest in the topic at hand then don't read/post in the thread.

GW is finally answering emails about the FAQ thing:

GW Customer Service wrote:Thanks for writing in to us! We are aware that the new web store launched without the Errata/ FAQ articles. Well that's good, hopefully. I guess we will see when/where the FAQs end up.

As a separate note, pertaining to reason this thread was started, what was the last codex to receive a proper FAQ? I know it's been a while but not whom the lucky recipient was.

EDIT: it still perplexing why they didn't add the FAQs in, since they had the whole 24 hours of downtime. But time will tell and hopefully it won't be long before this is remedied.

Not had a reply as yet to my email but hopefully that will be coming - especially if they answer my related question about the next update.

Wasn't the last update after the Space Marine one and they updated the servo arms for all the related ones?

You know, the Maple Leafs have been saying that "this year is going to see a marked improvement in our team and move us closer to our overall goal of a Stanley Cup."
47 years later and still counting...

Near future means nothing. Until they get off their backside and put those FAQ's/Erratas back, the game is officially an unplayable mess of contradictions and paradoxes.

April 2013. September 2013 was mostly just some minor tweaks regarding large amounts of empty space in the documents.

You could house rule it until the FAQs are back. I think the FAQs being gone is a very legitimate concern, but with some good will it's still a perfectly playable system. No need to go all hyperbolic.

======
Greetings,

Currently I am unable to locate the FAQ and errata page that used to be in a section titled "Shrine of Knowledge". There are a fairly large number of relevant updates, especially for 40K Codices that were released before the 6th edition master rule-book, as well as in the master rule-book itself.

Where may I find the FAQ and errata articles?

I wonder if this is the same 'don't have a time or date available' that you get to queries when new FAQs will be released.

That or they're just copy and pasting because it's faster.

I did pester someone I know in the design studio to press the issue a little more so hopefully that helps.

And Vendettas that have outflank.

Boy, 6th edition was being held together by a ton of duct tape.

Only Broadsides may take Missile Drones.

Without it everything can.

It would be hilarious to run, even in my army.

2 Ethereals - there's 4 Missile Drones.
They also sit with Sniper Drone Squads, so that's BS5 too.

Then potentially 12 more among my Troops and 10 more with my Battlesuits.

Drone controller's dont work on missile drones...

... unless that was a FAQ, too. If so, then have at it!

Necrons now die when you blow up their flyers! That's a plus, right?

Downside is that older books like Space Wolves can no longer swap powers out. Guess I'll have to take Inquisition Coteaz with my Draigowing to get the goodies. Shucks...

Ah, my mistake.

Codex specifies Gun, Marker and Sniper drones.

Though it'd still be pretty nasty with the Sniper Drones, as they benefit from the stealth too.
And at 3pts cheaper than just buying a missile pod, I would defiantely pay that 24pts per Sniper Squad + Ethereal for 2.
