This one is a Yobokies modified SKX007. Pretty cool auto but it's getting sold soon most likely.

Let's see what's on your wrist.

I wear a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner, steel case. I've had it about 7 years and I absolutely love it.

While I don't have a picture of just my watch specifically, but I do have a picture of me wearing it doing what it was designed to do:

I'm holding a cushion star in Hawaii.

Tuesday, one of my favorite shops is going to have some serious watches on Sale. I'd like to pick up a Patek philippe, if it isn't still absurd. We'll see though. I'm tempted to pick up a Cartier tank.

I'm a really big fan of square watches.

I've tried a lot of different watches, but in and out of uniform, it's hard to beat a 10$ Casio F91W. I wear a couple vintage Seiko watches when I feel the urge, but that's rare. I would never buy a Rolex, an Omega, or any 'vanity' watches. The mechanical intrigue of an Oyster Perpetual movement or a nitrogen filled sea dweller doesn't really justify the cost for me, although I'm sure they are very very nice watches.

For work I have to be bare below the elbows so not allowed to wear a watch, and don't bother at home. I do have a selection of nursing fob watches however, from the £6 Argos cheap piece of gak that doesn't stay on to a top of the range one for when I start my nurse training that I got for my birthday.

I really don't care much about watches but some 3 years ago I decided it was time to finally get a decent looking one. I like it and it's a tough bastard, pity he's starting to look filthy in certain areas.

Stauer 1930. Not exactly the classiest brand, but I saw an add for one in the back of a magazine a long time ago and fell in love. Currently rolling with a leather/nylon band I found on Amazon since the stock one finally gave out a while back.

Alas, I cannot wear wristwatches. Any of them that I wear stop working within a week. If digital, within a day. It's uncanny. The same thing always happened to my dad.

My mom gets that with watches, it just seems to be an odd phenomenon that some people get, watches just stop OR even start if they weren't working to begin with when they wear them. Don't know if any research has been done with that.

My brother gave me a watch many years ago. I don't have a picture of it but I found a very similar one on ebay:

Spoiler:

I don't wear it often though.

I got my current watch through Kickstarter. I've actually received quite a lot of compliments on it. People are really interested to hear that it was designed for the blind.

Bathing in elitist French expats fumes

I have to get myself some o'them boxes.

I alternate between my Bulova Marine Star, a Nixon Scout and a cheap locally made watch by Chikiboom. It's more of a fun novelty watch in that the band is recycled car seatbelt. The face will probably give up in a couple of years though and I'll find myself a nicer one then. Otherwise, just a Polar heart monitor when running or climbing.

Thanks mate!

My entire family loves watches, specifically Rolex watches: my dad wears a two-toe gold/steel Submariner Date, my mom wears a two-tone steel/everose Jubilee band Datejust , and my younger brother has a steel Jubilee band Datejust.

Omegas are definitely nice watches and like a Rolex, are well worth the price of admission. They're the kind of watch that will last a lifetime. Plus, they all tend to rise in price and can really be seen as an investment; the price for a pre-owned Submariner like mine is more than what it cost new when I got it.

Omega watches have the distinction of being the first watch worn on the moon! Buzz Aldrin wore an Omega Speedmaster Professional during his moonwalk in 1969 (Neil Armstrong left his watch in the LM).

It can also be seen on strapped to the outside of Aldrin's spacesuit in the famous picture that Armstrong took of him on the surface of the Moon.
