I'm pretty sure I'm on a few.

I have a short ignore list and most of the time cannot resist seeing what they posted anyway...lol

I respect a fair few members on here. Their arguments are usually pretty good, even when I disagree. OT has taught me a lot about debate and tolerance.

Albatross, Seaward, Ouze, Ahtam, and LordofHats always seem to make good posts.

Kronk just makes me laugh. lol

I don't use the ignore feature.

I enjoy reading folks that have a different viewpoint than I do. It gives me the chance (especially when they can articulate their reasons/points decently) to re-look my position.

I've even hit the Exalt button on a few posts I disagreed with because they were good posts.

I find myself almost never using the Ignore function. The only person ever on it (nsdbfn) had only two posts, both of which were deleted, which tells me everything I ever needed to know about why I ignored him.

As to specific folks? Not really. Though there is one, who whenever he posts, I prepare myself to sort through his misguided posts and misquoted rules.

The fun part about being ALL THE FETH over the place ideologically is I tend to be with the various different groups on different subjects. So I don't think I ever really want to beat my head against the wall when some people speak only to warm up to them later. hotsauce says some facepalm worthy gak now and then, but he's an okay guy. The one active poster I have an issue with I don't have on ignore, and the four I do were just ragingly stupid, racist, misogynist or something to the point of "No loss to me if I never see anything these morons say again"

That tends to be my criteria for ignore lists on any site, in addition to actively hostile/aggressive posters.

I try to avoid posting in debate threads at all, since my switches get flipped waaaay too easily. I don't have anyone on Ignore, though - I just skip their posts if they're the kind that put me in a gakky mood for the rest of the day.

One of the few posters that really upsets me(who shall remain unnamed)only does so because he seems to get way too much enjoyment from yelling at hotsauceman. Seriously, just leave the kid alone. He seems depressed and confused enough as is. Still, I do find myself agreeing with this particular poster quite frequently on issues other than the worthlessness of today's yoof. Does that count?

I'm not sure if you meant to do this...but props on the thread title for referencing one of the most creep-inducing RPGs I have ever encountered.

Anyway, as for me, I have no intention of ignoring anyone. There's a couple people around here I wouldn't mind ignoring, but I've never encountered anyone who has never had any redeeming features, and I'd hate to miss out on something.

I think Frazzled has to fall under this category for me. Back when I first started wading into the OT forums and didn't know who anybody was I read a few things by him that annoyed me and the first impression stuck around for a while.

I severely doubt anybody has much opinion of me whatsoever to be honest. I feel like most of my posts (on the whole site, not just this subforum) basically amount to me wandering into a room with a conversation going on, muttering something tangentially related to the topic at hand, then wandering out again.

Oh. I stand corrected, I guess they don't know, after all. But yeah, I think Goliath has the crux of it. Also at some point I think you just so frustrated with how poor the signal to noise ratio is with some posters, you hope that by telling them yet another person has given up on you, perhaps you might reconsider the value of consistently posting single line posts, usually 10 words or less, whose sole purpose is to remind everyone how much cooler you are then everyone else present. "The coolest kid on a warhammer forum"; yeah, there's a trophy to display with pride.

Eventually you find common ground with people if you post with them long enough, generally.

I think it would be interesting to share a beer with some members here

I enjoy having arguments with quite a few of you, it's fun when you can have a back and forth of ideas as long as both sides can argue their points reasonably. Sometimes the back and forth of ideas and information is more important to me than "being right", especially when many of our topics here can have both sides be "right".

Yup. Agreed.

Although, I believe that some of us likes to snark just for the sack of snarking.

To be honest, before I really started posted in OT forum... I was half, kinda in support of a Canadian style healthcare in the US. Which is generally something of an anathema with my other political stance, as I'm sure you'd know. But, being "exposed" to different views from different people around the world on this topic actually helped me clarify my positions. So... thanks dakkanauts!
