Hey to you all on DakkaDakka, known online as DarkMistro online as got YouTube page... DarkMistro's Corner and also wanted to become more involved with community that shares a passion for Warhammer 40k. I show off the models / transports via my YouTube page, but also wanting to show them on here as well to hopefully share tips / advice and to be able to share the painting and forces i collect to more people.

Decided to start up Warhammer 40k collecting again after so many years since last collected Warhammer Fantasy and a short period of Warhammer 40k (original Army in 40k was Necrons back in 4th Edition I believe). So started to collect Dark Eldar to begin with after a mate of mine was collecting Chaos Space Marines and decided that when he would visit up England to me, would have matches between his Chaos and my Dark Eldar (never once collected Dark Eldar so was noob).

After a few months of collecting, managed to get a small group of Kabalite warriors (So group of 10) & a group of Wyches (10 Wyches) on top of my Archon. Finding that my mate was not able to visit anymore, still decided to keep collecting them, and now gotten myself so far in a building up Dark Eldar forces :

1 Archon
1 Haemonculus
1 squad of 10 Kabalite Warriors
1 squad of 10 Wyches
1 squad of 5 Wracks (Aiming to build up to 10)
1 Venom
1 Raider

Once made the Dark Eldar army, decided to bring back my old collection of Necrons. But sadly since lost my old models during moving country, had to re build my necron army from scratch & over the course of months up to today, managed to build up a small yet growing Necron Force.

Also along side these two armies, also aiming to collect all the other armies once built current ones up to 2000 points. Recently started to gather a Chaos Space Marine force and gotten single HQ model from Daemons.

Here is a small example of painting that have done with my Dark Eldar Haemonculus close up to head / torso area.

Those Necrons look good mate. Where abouts in Yorkshire do you reside? Or atleast if you don't wanna say on the forum, which is your Local GW?

I'm doing CSM, Nids and Tau. The last of which is my main focus at the moment. I'm not a very good painter but I'm getting better the more I practice.

Ah nice teams, I've nearly painted my CSM tactical, last 5 to do, but at moment my Necron side i'm building the Triarch Stalker ((nearly turned to a flayed one by gluing accidents)) only need to glue the driver and then spray painting the bugger.

Going to have to count up point wise for my 3 armies to see how far they are from 2000 points

Nice. Me and my friends usually play 1850pt games. I'm in South Yorkshire (as my profile shows) and the GW I go to most is in Rotherham, but I don't go there often!

Those stalkers are pretty nasty in how they work, I recently overcame two of them in a competitive game I was playing with my Tau. (edit: with great difficulty i might add)

Necrons are very fiddly to put together but the simplicity of painting them can outweigh that I reckon. It depends on how much detail you wanna put in. Some of my mates intend to just spray them all metal and wash them. With added green bits.

Wow that puts my Archon to shame hah, but that's really good skin mask it has, remembered it from Soulstorm.

How you think of this yorkshirite's Archon?

Good stuff Though the paintjob on your huskblade looks better than mine I think.

Well its kept to look like its a cold feeling to it as Husk is mostly seen as an empty shell of emptiness and cold. So kept that to see how it went probably if got another Archon ( some reason) may end up trying a new touch to it.

But your huskblade looks good as well, looks like very old, ancient bone like approach to it.

But I mostly do better in blood effects as preference in effect wise, should check it out in my gallery

I see you're a fellow Necron player too. Got a fair number of them myself lol. Really want a Tesseract Vault but can't quite force my credit card to get it lol.

Yeah its Blood for the Blood god, I used to do blood effects without using that in past but since that technical paint appeared, made them stand out on more effective level

Live in the west of Yorkshire, but that reminds me some how... need to get myself a GW case to put my stuff into as its getting a bit crowded in room where paint and keep them all

Better than me then, all I have is them sat in a shoe box at no, its hard to store 6 tanks n counting, though black templers and damage us easy to touch up!

I got shoe boxes at moment for each army but it feels a bit bad having really well painted (in opinion) of good standard in a shoe box . its bad looking too with a Trazyn or Archon being pulled out of a Nike box lol
