This is what baffled me.

They didn't have time to gel. You always have a storming and then norming period in any new group. Whitey, Purps, and Avatar had a first mover advantage because they already are well known to each other. While they didn't know each other's thoughts, they did know their predilections and could reliably depend upon the others not to vote (kill) them off the island immediately.

Well folks, the next game will commence in just a few hours.

I shall post the link here and in the DCM thread as/when.

@Soladrin: We're all filled up for Game 2 but if there is interest we may yet have a Game 3.

And if that doesn't work, you can always blame [insert opposing political party here].

Also, the victim. Blame them.

The Hunter killed you; in my eyes it just lent credence to the idea that d-usa and his supporters were pretty shady.

He had Lime on day one, and by the end of night one anyone who might have voted for him could've changed their minds instead of making themselves look like part of what seemed to be a guilty party.

I'm just going off assumptions I consciously and subconsciously made, along with hoping for a fairly sizeable chunk of luck.

Killing Hlaine the Hunter on the first night was part of that aforementioned luck.

I was going to make a joke about that but I decided that it would be in bad taste since there is a tragedy underlying the shortage.

You know, I really thought either d-usa or Purplefood was the werewolf. Never thought whitey was on cahoots with the monsters.

Unknowingly allied, yes.

Whitey wasn't in cahoots. He and Purps were just being true to themselves, which is exactly what Avatar (AKA CdM) expected.

I suspected ALEX and not_u early on because they were so dang quiet. But I thought only one person was a werewolf and I could not decide which one of them it was.

Oh, really now? How interesting.

Alright, so the lesson we can take from this is to always suspect the quiet ones.

Also, suspect the ones being too buddy-buddy. Even if they're not the wolves, they've got an exploitable agenda that doesn't benefit the town overall.

Manchu, I, too would like entrance to the third game. Should be fun and eat up time during work (I can post during the work day, and my dad brews his own delicious beer and has passed on some knowledge to me, just saying)

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Forgive this breach of posting rules, as I wasn't in the game, but I would also like to take part in game 3 if possible I didn't see a sign up thread for game 3, so... yeah.

I promise to increase the villager's IQ total by two, and shamelessly suck up to the Brewmeister

Presuming as this is over, it's fine to post here?

Any chance of more of a break between the starting of a new thread, just missed the sign up to the new one?

Also, quick lynching seemed to be a problem. I'd thought about a solution to this... The Alchomancer...

It has long been known that deep below the town many ancient crypts, cairns and tombs form a great labyrinth of the dead. While none have ventured into these dark places in centuries it is rumoured to be the home of one bitter necromancer. Barred from all the taverns across the land by decree of the Count he dwells within the labyrinth, waiting for the chance of vengeance. His powers are not terribly strong and he can only rouse the freshly deceased and even then he is limited to mostly intact corpses. For each innocent lynched, or murdered by the hunter, the Alchomancer gains servants by which to brew his own tasty beverages. The Alchomancer is his own Braumiester and may use his zombie minions to gather the ingredients when night falls. The Alchomancer's goal is to brew more barrels of beer than the living brewers and have the Counts Knights take his Necrotic Beer instead. What dire purpose this is for is unknown, but a evil fate awaits those that drinketh that concoction

Doesn't need to be a player, but perhaps just an automatic entity. Every two zombies he has means he'll be producing one barrel of beer per night.

Basically either can outbrew the living by reaching 13 barrels, or have his own beer taken away at the end of the game by having more barrels brewed. Perhaps influencing another tale...

Just a daft suggestion, keeping it fairly tongue in cheek while allowing the story to progress.

To be fair, ALL of the credit should go to Avatar, he was planning this thoroughly from the very start. I honestly was just going to eat people, but he was the man with the plan!

I also really, really want to apologies for having to go away last weekend. My D of E wasn't meant to be until this weekend but it was forcast for rain so they moved it forward. If it makes you all feel better about being pawns in Avatar's Master Plan it did end up raining and i had to walk around the Welsh country side all weekend in the pouring rain and my tent had a hole in it.

Wow, Karma's a B*tch.

Anyway, thanks for letting me eat your intestines!
