That's cause we're ALL looking for them.

I need 30-40 myself.

GAH. There was a guy who frequented / worked at the LGS a while back who had a unit of 30 Teutogen Guard painted up as Tzeentch cultists. We had no idea they were rare. I wonder if he still has them.

I had a couple a while back that I sold on one of the other boards. Now I know why there was such a scramble for them, and why I got way more than I'd expected!

I started using it myself recently, and so far, so good. The seller only pays to ship it to the distribution center. Once there, they calculate postage and handling, and bill the buyer directly. The bonus is, as I understand it, that sellers are protected as long as it reaches the center, no matter what happens after that.

It's a Dictator from CAV. Gotta be a big-scale resin model, but I didn't know anyone had made one!

[edit] Huh. It's 1/60-scale, done by John Bear Ross long ago, and no longer available. Damn waste of a nice model!

Good eye. Thanks for letting me know about that model on ebay. The conversion is...interesting.

Here's a blog post about it.

And box art from the original kit. Art by Neil Nowatzki, who also did that beautiful transparent canopy customization.

Those look like Battlesuit torsos being used as the main body. The gun arm is a leg and the gun is from a tau tank.

I love how the seller fluffed it out and everything. "alien bladder bush". To be honest it's actually a really cool idea. I might have to create something like that for my personal collection.

Well the international shipping program is still evolving, and as a buyer in Canada, if I see the auctions uses it, I wont bid. Early on they were charging the buyer the sellers cost to ship to the depot and the cost to ship internationally (think 30 dollars shipping on a 100g bag of bits). On top of this they charge the seller duty on all auctions, but typically a purchase of 20 or under should incur no duty.

Finally I had a claim for a damaged auction. it looks like the metal models were dumped into a large box from the sellers original package, all packing material removed. took about 6 weeks for the claim to be resolved and I think the seller got dinged because he sent me a nasty ebay message.

I was doing an eBay clearout on my bits box a couple of weeks ago and popped on five of Victoria Miniatures cloaks for a start price of £1.

Two bidders had a bit of a panic over them and pushed the price up to £25.00.

Its not always the seller being greedy when items go for silly money.

Considering it's neither one of the original Limited Editions (With the faux drakescale dust-cover), 1st Editions or even a signed edition I'm rather surprised at the asking price - even more so when I can get it from GW for £15. But hey, as long as the dust cover fits properly...

Huh, that Junkcron army is kinda cool. I always like seeing truly creative attempts at building armies on the cheap, like the Spruecrons.
