The robo suit is a totally sound way to make an unstoppable man machine, just ask that trained police sniper from earlier in the movie how much they'd love it if the bad guys stood there with their whole head exposed like that.

I agree that it's more functional...but it looks god-awful. Something of a wet dream in which Rhino marries Optimus Prime.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

For those of you that don't recognise the names and can't be bothered to look them up on IMBD, Kurtzman/Orci wrote the Transformers films and the Star Trek reboot films.
