I like it. Good job on the source lighting.

I like it overall but there's a couple of things you could do to improve it IMHO.

The source lighting at the sides may be 'technically' correct but you may find that reversing the light so it's lighter at the bottom of the panels and darker at the top helps emphasise the contrast between the top and the sides (if that makes sense?)

The edge highlighting is a little heavy handed for me but I'm guessing it looks pretty good on the battlefield!

I'm liking the mud effect against the blue, really helps set it off.

You're right. I came with the airbrush 1cm too low. On next Razorback I will be more careful

Thanks for opinions!

Next vehicle, this time Salamander's chapter:

I think they look good. I would have loved to see the ultra symbol on the RB though. The salamander symbol I think would look better if it was slightly lower so it's centered on the panel it resides on. Did you use a decal or stencil on that?

Why I don't like airbrush, makes models look like cake frosting.

Mmmmmm cake, so I looked at your stuff on your blog and it's all really nice. Your dreadnought diorama really warmed me up!! So what was the goop on the nid you used?

I think the issue the OLS , for me at least, is that the color you use as the brightest blue isn't Ultra marine blue, it's like electric blue or something, and it ends up giving a pastel look to the tank.

Just a guess, but maybe using almost black-blue for the darker recesses and true ultra-blue for the brightest parts would shift your pallet out of the "Frosted cake" region and into the "Sick OLS" region.

Still a culmination of fantastic technique and real talent, so I'm impressed non-the-less

Well guy is doing an excellent job and all you can say is the above? Providing healthy and constructive criticism is the essence of this forum and comments like the above only make you appear ignorant and rude.

I for once really like both tanks and I will agree on the OSL effect being too much in the rhino. Keep it up mate and post more pics .

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.

I like the salamander L/R. Your color blends are subtle and very clean. Excellent work.

Score Board indicates when "brave" Chaos forces are losing - high time to escape to Eye of Terror

Lastly I have much work with commissions, one of them, which I've completed:

People that criticize you are just jealous, because they can't do what you do. If you are so strong to criticize his style of painting, please enlighten us with your work.

Great work. Keep em coming. Love your style.

why should a critic be able to do the same thing he is criticising? Do movie critics make movies themselves? Do painting critics paint themselves?

OT: I really like the red ones, the blue one was too simple IMO

The shadows are consistently a bit too strong for my taste, but overall these are really good. The sharp angled OSL on the last batch's headlights is a sweet touch, which I will work hard to steal. You can make it a bit easier on me by writing up/showing a tutorial, though

Hooray for airbrushes. I couldn't stand to paint vehicles before I got mine. Now it's barely tolerable

Oh yeah I agree on the whole airbrush being better for tanks thing. Also the amount you are pumping out is amazing. I can barely paint a squad a month maybe more. Keep them coming. And the red ones are the best of the bunch, you really improved your technique a lot.

Considering that the real thing would most likely also have the paint sprayed on, I think an airbrush application with decent weathering gives a great look. It is certainly much better than painted with a Q-tip and basted with Badab black. An airbrush is not a magic bullet and poses a whole list of things to master to make it work.

Also +1 for taking some decent pictures with a background.

Hey everything looks great except one thing. The storm talons salamander icon on the left side is backwards. It's even more evident because it's facing the other direction on the right side.

I really hate saying this, but it would benefit you and your client if you fixed that technicality. I'm interested in your landraider color palate. Looks great!
