I'm a Yorkshireman, so most of the country would say everything i say is pronounced wrong....

Isn't = Int
Wouldn't = Wunt
Couldn't = you can probably guess that one.

I have no idea where my accent is from. I was bullied a bit for it in school because apparently I sounded too posh for the area, but meh.

Watch one of my videos and have a guess for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/user/Randomer720

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

My accent gets a lot of that attention too. I've had to remind more than a few people that I'm married. It is funny though to have women come up to me in the mall and ask me to speak for them, my wife thinks that is hilarious

I'm not sure I have an accent I think I sound like a totally bland American or whatever that means. I've fought the growing New Englander accent for the last 10 years or so. I refuse to pronounce "R" as "Ahh". Regularly do vocal excercises to make sure I don't get the accent.

Good luck! I tried the same thing when my family moved to Georgia to avoid the Southern drawl. Now, my fellow central Floridians think I sound like a Yankee.

I still have bits and pieces of Appalachian in my speech though- notably roof is pronounced 'ruff'.

Being from Middlesbrough, a somewhat perplexing mix of Yorkshire, Geordie and (most likely because Middlesbrough, like Liverpool, is a large Irish diaspora area) scouse, that was voted the most friendly sounding British accent.

Haha here's hoping since I grew up in Florida then moved to New England I can keep it away. Sometimes I will be near someone with a particularly thick NE accent and think thank god I don't talk like you. Of all the "American" accents I'd probably be most ok with a little southern drawl.

I speak proper BBC English despite living in Canada for 7 years. How I ended up with it I don't know as I used to live in Yorkshire and the accents over there are pretty strong! I can also imitate Irish, Scottish, Southern US and Count Dracula (yes, it's an accent) perfectly.

My only difficulty living over here is the fact that I can't seem to pronounce my r's well enough for anyone to understand me. My rule is that I will repeat myself twice and then give up. A rule made harder by the fact that Canadians all seem to insist on saying "what?" even if they understood what I said...

On the plus side all the ladies love every word that comes out of my mouth!

Didn't think I had one till I moved to Minnesota, where I was informed that I had a very strong Southern accent, as well as constantly spouting stereotypical southern phrases like "bless his heart."

I'm still not sure if its actually that bad or if people are just messing with me, but every local immediately picks up on it. I know for a fact that compared to other people I knew back home my accent is mild, but it sticks out like a sore thumb here.

could be worse though, I could have a Minnesotan accent and call bags bAgs (like bagel) or "root" as "rut".

I don't know what my accent would be called. It's Australian, obviously, but it's not an Australian drawl or broad Australian accent (it's not the sterotype). I do use the word "ain't" a lot, because it's a stupid word and I like using it.

Nah. My Irish accent is fairly noticeable, but not stereotypical. Within Ireland it'd be taken as a bit posh or "south side dublin" though not in the extremely annoying way. When I'm angry or excited my Wexford accent comes out a lot stronger, which is a bit of a weird sounding one.

Not so much an accent, but do you use awesome phrases like, "going off like a cut snake", "busier than a one armed brick layer in baghdad", or "sweating like a gypsy with a mortgage"??

As for me, I don't think I have an accent, but I tend to jump around a bit in how I talk... By that I mean, sometimes, while talking to someone in person, I'll sound like a surfer/stoner, other times not so much. I've also been told that I sound like Barry White on the phone (which I don't get, because I'm as white as a white walker)

I don't notice any accent on myself, but probably midwestern. When I go back to Wisconsin or talk to someone from Wisconsin I tend to slip into the accent for a while without thinking (i.e., couch sounds like coach). I can do a little bit of Bwoston because of my aunt and can pull a pretty good drawl. A German friend and I amused each other for almost an hour once with me talking in the heaviest west-Nebraska-never-been-south-of-the-mason-dixon-line-accent (if you've even heard of Broken Bow or Wizner you know what I am talking about) possible while he did the nasally East German radio propagandist voice.
