I think we had a thread on this a long time ago, but it was at least a couple months, and I'm curious. What does the average Dakkanaut carry around with him/herself?

In addition to keys/wallet/phone/watch, I typically have a backpack with:
- either work or personal laptop
- tablet
- an arduino and a some sensors/lcd screens I've been hacking on recently
- notebook
- assorted pens and pencils
- external battery pack

What about you?

I never leave home without a pen and paper where possible, I never know when a good idea, line of poetry or general thing that needs writing down might come to me.

I always have a watch, either a pocketwatch or a wristwatch.

My Ipod rarely leaves my pocket, but my phone usually gets left at home.

If I'm going anywhere for more than a day or so, I'll take a tablet or my laptop.

Unless I'm traveling for work, I have a wallet, watch, phone, keys, and 2 pens.

The only thing I keep on me besides my wallet and keys is a Leatherman Micra. Everyone should have some sort of multitool on them.

When I travel, either on trips or just to gaming, my bag always includes:

My iPad
A deck of cards
pen, pencil, notepad
antacids
a wet-wipe pack or two, plus a few napkins

and whatever else I need, depending.

I love the posts on reddit where they show their "Daily carry".

Mainly because well over half are basically kids who had access to their daddies gunsafes to take a photo of their "daily carry". Like, phone, wallet, 3 tacticool knives and 2 handguns. For an IT desk job or cashier at a supermarket. Yeah, I believe!

I carry a walking stick and a phone which has my card on it.

The usual.... wallet, phone, sunglasses, and ear buds. Lately, I have been carrying an umbrella, even if I probably won't need it.

If it is for work, I might have my actual work issued laptop and bag.

I prefer to travel light.

I had a friend who insisted on carrying his 9mm to work... at Subway. Not on the subway. At the sandwich shop. I'm still trying to figure out who's going to knock off a crappy sandwich shop/gas station in an area small enough that the cops can be across town in 3 minutes and everyone knows everyone already anyway.

When you say walking stick, do you mean this:

Or this:

Cause I think of the first one when I hear that term.

Edit: (wow, that's a big image)

The latter, though I do have the former! I just very rarely use it due to the fact it has a metal spike on the end and thus would ruin flooring.

Well, I mean, I don't go up to the bar or grocery shopping with all that. At least, not usually. I'm usually going to work or a friend's though, so that gives me an option if there is a potential for downtime/role playing/programming.

I really like it. The trigger pull is a TAD heavy for me, but I could fix that if I really wanted to. I'm a pretty big fan of their twisting barrel though. I'm usually able to shoot that better than any other compact I've shot.

Here's an example of a 21 year old students every day carry!

Spoiler:

I can understand him needing the shotgun for a cash business that has some sketchy issues associated, but that's his everyday carry? For being a student?

I almost always got these things on me.
- Wallet
- Pen
- Keys + light keychain
- Smartphone (family/friends)
- Dumbphone (professionnal)
- MP3 player + intra-auricular earbuds.
- Lighter. I'm no smoker, but it can always be useful in social settings.

I may also take my ebook reader or my harmonica.
