Ah, I really want a good working Hamilton Hunter's Watch from the early 20th century. Let me know what you find!

Waltham or Elgin is also a possibility.

Agreed. Some of the prices are definitely high.

Out-of-fashion hats. I started in high school, when I wore fedoras. That got taken up by the punk crowd, and then subsequently by the hipsters, so I stopped wearing them. (I liked the distinguished look the fedora used to give, and I don't want to be lumped in with those groups based on my fashion choices.)

So recently it's been flatcaps. I have a few other choice selections (stetson, porkpie, bowler, stovepipe) for when I'm feeling saucy, but at this point without a hat I feel almost naked when I go out.

I also collect TV collections on DVD. Even in the era of Netflix, I love having complete runs of my favorite shows all lined up on my wall. (And it's better entertainment for your dollar than movies on DVD are.)

Welcome to the Freakshow!

Retro games and gaming systems. At present I have a 2600, Colecovision, 5200, NES, Genesis, SNES, TurboGrafx 16, PS1, N64, and a Dreamcast.

Books, especially original editions.

Knives.

My dad has also gotten me into collecting coins.

I collect 'guinomi', which are Japanese cups for drinking sake.

I have about 35 including some 'masu'. They come in wood, ceramic or glass. Cheap ones can be got in plastic.

Most are decorated by hand even if done to a standard design of bowl.

The very best are individually thrown and glazed and can cost £50 or more.

I am thinking of switching to chawan tea cups. The advantage is they are rather larger for display.

Brown liquor. Mostly bourbons but I'm moving into scotches as well.

My "rarest" bottles that aren't gone are probably the Van Winkle Reserve 12 Year and the Elmer T Lee. Elmer used to be my "regular" drinker but since he died it's been impossible to find.

The Kirk and Sweeney there is actually a rum and is fairly rare as it was made In a pretty small batch, as is the Angel's Envy rye, which is a delicious bourbon finished in a rum cask.

You should combine those hobbies by collecting bottle blondes.

I love history, so naturally, I collect history books, even books I haven't read yet. If the cover looks good, I'll buy it.

It's funny, because when it comes to re-arranging my shelves, the Chinese history and the American history books don't sit well next to each other. I put this down to different sizes of books, but I sense tension between them

I get the feeling, in light of Germany's recent triumph, that you're itching to say you collect world cups! Don't get too smug. Until Germany beats Italy at a world cup, those four stars are meaningless

Not wargaming related. Those are going to get taken down. Embed the pics with another website. Photobucket works well.

Back on topic: I collect... ummm.... errrr.... Video Games I don't play on my steam account?.....

I dunno. The only other thing I really have alot of (that isn't Wargaming related) are LEGOs which I use for Wargaming! (Brikwars)

I tried once, but then I hit the Minicons and gave up. I've started recording them on Shmax for insurance purposes and on the Transformers I've hit near 500 and I'm about 2/3 of the way through cataloging.

Even then, that's not entirely accurate as Shmax catalogs multi-pack sets together as you keep track of retail items and not the individual figures.

Does an ever increasing number of unplayed games in my steam account count? If so that.

Aside from that I've got a few guitars littering the house, mostly fairly rubbish cheap ones but I do have a custom self assembled from parts strat clone too (spent about £500 to £700). Got a small collection of old consoles (Mega Drive, PC Engine, Saturn, SNES) which have been in storage since I moved, once I get the rest of my furniture sorted I'll find a home for them.

In the past couple of years I've also been slowly building up a collection of Kaiju movies, which is pretty tricky in good old Blighty very few are released over here so I have to rely on imports. Currently got 17 of the Godzilla films (7 Showa, 5 Heisei and 5 Millenium), 5 Gamera films (2 Showa and the Heisei trilogy) and the Daimajin trilogy (got that in the post today ). I'm going to try to get the rest of the Godzilla films or at least the ones that aren't absolutely awful and the associated Toho films (Mothra, Rodan etc). Probably not going to bother with too many more Gamera films as the only ones really worth watch are the 3 Heisei ones.

I collect pet animals... and by me, but GF brings them home...

I have a collection of rubber ducks... it started with a roommate's girlfriend giving me on the first day she met me. I have gained a few more since (always given to me)

I would like to get into collecting firearms, but that is a serious expense for my latter years.

Hmm collections:

1) A serious amount of unassembled miniatures (yeah I know its not wargames but the don't count until they are at least assembled )

2) Books - primarily focusing on fantasy and wildlife. The latter is a pain as once you're past picture books its hard to find good publications - and then harder still to find them at a good price unless you're digging around 2nd hand.

3) Camera lenses. Up to 7 now and whilst that might not sound like a lot even the cheapest was several hundred £. And its still not complete although I'm fast ending up looking at lenses costing as much as a decent car!

4) Steam games

Don't visit Yorkshire - the flatcap is still in regular use there.
Also look to the left at my avatar - now there is a rare hat!
