I just roughen up the surfaces (if they are flat) to increase surface area for the bond.
Otherwise, a little GS in the joint with the glue and it's got a little shock absorber as well.

Are you using a very thin superglue?
I use a medium or thick (either Roket or Zzzaap works well), very occasionally (as chromedog has mentioned above) you may have to use Greenstuff - although you probably shouldn't have to use that with the I:O miniatures, they are a pretty neat fit.

I just unpacked and assembled my Mototronica scenery pack, it's quite nice. For $11.19 on miniature market I may well get another set. Really helps to have the infinity unit boxes to strengthen the buildings, or just put something in there. http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-70053-43580_Infinity-icestorm.html Gallery if interested. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/1590/508854.page#7276516 Blog update with commentary, if interested. I tend to use dollar store glue on my infinity models, no problems so far. I haven't pinned a model in years and don't plan to start again if I can help it. We'll see how that mentality works out Re: TAGS. I also tend to put bluetack into any large gaps, texture it if necessary to match the surrounding surfaces, and slather it with glue. I let the glue cure and often go in again. Actually... I do that with virtually all of my joins. I get just barely enough glue in place to make the join solid, then after that's dry/cured I go back and deploy a bit more glue into the join. Doesn't matter if it's plastic or restic or metal, that's what I usually do and it tends to work. Sometimes I put a teeny bit of bluetack within a join to help me hold it in place for the glue to set, or possibly to alter the position a tad. It makes the join a bit weaker overall but if the bit breaks down the road it's really easy to stick back into place cause of the leftover bluetack.

I use greenstuff just like that frequently. I prefer it over blu-tac because it cures & basically becomes plastic.

Yeah its probably better I just don't tend to have the extra minutes/seconds, a lot of my hobbying is done in little bits of time snuck and stolen between other more necessary tasks like minding the little one.

Ergh, I had almost forgotten how much I hate super glue. After about an hour of fiddly arms falling off, I decided to just buy (yet another) new bottle of glue. Problem solved. New problem: tiny arms now sticking to my fingers instead of where the are supposed to. Grrr.

Buy thicker glue? Sounds like you've got super thin stuff. Try medium or even gel.

Zip kicker is your friend, and contrary to popular belief, does not weaken the glue.
I use a toothpick to apply both glue and kicker to opposite ends of small joints, that avoids the mess of spraying or dripping kicker while trying to hold fiddly bits together.

Or you can apply your super glue to both parts then put a tiny amount of pva glue on the peg side & put it together. The pva should hyper accelerate the super glue.

That was what I was told last Thursday via e-mail. Apparently some have received their order this past week, however, making me think they are...slowly...shipping. I guess our order #/place in the 'queue' determines our ship date?
What day was your last/latest correspondence stating 'in customs', if you don't mind my asking?

Today actually!!!! I called to inquire about having my order that contains O:I split since it also Had some Malifaux stuff attached to it. Since its been about a month since I ordered I want my Malifaux stuff at least. But I further inquired about O:I and the MM guy I talked to said Its still in customs but they are expecting them by next week... I have little faith in this since I've been hearing this line for a couple weeks now... sigh Automatically Appended Next Post: Don't know why it says you said what i said Rusty Trombone:

I find this irritating.. It starts to feel like they are lying when someone else who ordered it from MM got theirs yet we keep getting the same old excuse of stuck in customs... hmmmmm

Thanks for the info, man. My irritation level is up as well. I sent another, less polite, e-mail this afternoon asking them to clarify exactly how this is occurring.
Instant edit: As I typed the above, MM responded to my query. Apparently they received a small shipment last week. Their large, main, shipment was held for an increased time due to it's size. They claim it is on the way(to their warehouse).
A reassuring update or a comforting lie? This, I suppose, we'll find out. *crosses fingers/kicks dog*

No need to feel lucky, I reckon...I imagine y'all ordered before myself and others is all. That is as it should be. My complaint, fwiw, is a lack of clear communication that the shipment from last week wouldn't cover my order. Maybe they didn't have the numbers then, but a subsequent count and shout out pro actively earlier this week would have been nice. It's not enough to get my panties* in a wad, but it is a tad vexing.
To those who recently received I:O, enjoy!

Did you both have the pre-order with the limited model?
Maybe one is the shipment with the model and the other is the shipment without (if they placed two separate orders as they ran out)? Just a thought.

They won't run out. If you pre ordered in the correct time frame, you get the CSU pre order model. If you pre ordered in the correct time frame and did not get one, contact Corvus Belli. The CSU wasn't limited to the first 5000 copies, it was limited to pre orders placed in the pre order time frame.
