Subject: Marvel Phase 3, Black Panther, Ant Man, Doctor Strange, Civil War?
I prefer the new one at times, pre spider man Parker? I loved Macguire for that, after? not so much, it has been awhile since I saw SM2 but I didn't remember it being quite as awesome as everyone else seems to think it was.
Also I do like how they are doing lesser known spidey villians, most people know about green goblin, Doc Oc and venom even if they don't know much about comic books.
are you going to keep talking about it, or do something already?

Yeah, I'm also far more of a fan of the new Spideys than the old ones, I find Macguire as unwatchable as Shia LeBouef and think the new ones do a far better job with the characters of Peter/Spidey, not to mention the brilliant character work for Lizard/Electro/Osborne.

Yeah, I didn't see it that way either. I liked the fact they started with Gwen instead of MJ, and it was hardly out of character for a newly-powered Spiderman to need someone to keep him on the right path and remind him off his responsibilities.
Also, on a side note, anyone think Harry Osborne's assistant Felicia is going to show up as Black Cat in a later film, either S6 or ASM3?

Here's my extremely basic run down on "Maguire Spidey"
"ohh no!!! I have all this power, so I have all this responsibility to go with it! What am I going to do???" *goes in corner and cuts wrists*
The reason why I think that the new Spidey is better is because they brought the zinging one liners, the *FUN* aspect. Does the new Parker show that he has responsibilities?? Yeah, but he also shows that swinging around NYC is fun as hell. He may not be as sarcastic and full of one-liners as, say, Deadpool, but then he's not supposed to.
And I got more of a vibe from this Gwen Stacy that she was there to keep him on the "you have responsibilities to the people you care about as well as "Spider-Man's People" so you need a balance between Spidey and Peter"

Problematic hyperbole aside, I'm guessing you never saw the live action 70's show.
Why yes, I had. I watched the re-runs as a kid in the 80's.

Then your previous statement makes even less sense.
To you, perhaps. It makes perfect sense to me.

Which of course doesn't keep it from being wildly inaccurate or nonsensical. You might think poop tastes like steak, but just because you think that doesn't make it true.

Yup. It's okay that you have a wrong opinion. You can have it. It's all yours.
The rest of us agree that TM wasn't the worst, and I personally feel he's been the best PP on the big screen. I'll give Garfield Spider-Man...but TM is a far better Peter. He captures the personality better. And yes, that part I am stating as fact, not as opinion.

Not emo: quiet and shy. Garfield doesn't exhibit that at all. He's cocky, arrogant, rides a skateboard and gels his hair. Maguire has the BUS DRIER picking on him. Then thanks him for a lift. That's Peter Parker.
Emo was in the third movie, and everyone agrees that was awful. Nobody saying Maguire being a great fit was talking about the third, just the first two.

Spidey 3 had issues. 1&2 were awesome. The new one is garbage by comparison.
Oh, you mean those films that didn't feature Spider-Man?
Or Peter, to an extent.

Ah, gotcha. So there's one on Thor 2, and apparently one somewhere of Banner/Stark? How many of these are there? Gonna have to see if I can find them online somewhere...

The Banner/Stark thing is the after-credits stinger at the end of Regular Man.
The One-Shots are:
1. The Consultant (takes place after The Incredible Hulk/Iron Man 2). 2. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer (takes place during Iron Man 2/part-way into Thor 1). 3. Item 47 (takes place after The Avengers). 4. Agent Carter (takes place either late 1940's or the very start of 1950, and the new TV series, 'Agent Carter', will take place before it). 5. All Hail to the King (takes place after Regular Man, and likely before Thor 2/Cap 2)
They haven't made any other One-Shots yet.

Awesome! Thanks! Was able to find all of those online except the iron man after credits one.

Did you watch all the way through the credits of All Hail to the King? It has a wonderful cameo in it. Agent Carter also has a pretty cool cameo during the credits.
Really don't understand the hate for Iron Man 3. I really liked the fact that there was less of a focus on the suit and more on Stark himself. Sometimes less can be more.
