Ah, that old chestnut. If this friend actually owned 20 Terminators with Cyclones they’d be the first I’ve ever heard of. IIRC I had ten Terminators and only one had a Cyclone.

Firing off all twelve missiles in one salvo got you a Krak missile with a 6” diameter template. I don’t actually recall what else used that template; it didn’t see regular use.

Weren't cyclone models one-per-pack?
It was easy enough to do, if you're happy paying that much to do so.

Cost of two, yes two, terminators with Cyclone launchers was £2.99 during the early 90's!

At least he didn't try to take terminators that each had a cyclone missile launcher AND an assault cannon.

You could just mail order them if you wanted to. Still, I've never seen any evidence that anyone did. I played Space Wolves, but ordering twenty of the same model would have been a rather boring waste of a couple of months' income for me at the time (especially when there were so many other models I could buy instead. It's also so wildly far from how the Space Wolves operate that it would never have occurred to me (or to anyone else who frequented the local GW at that time, because I never saw it done by anyone) to do so.

D12 Like for a clock? Maybe the fella I played with didn't have a D12 so we used a scatter dice for each next direction. Couldn't tell you what the actual rules were.

The initial circle was marked for 12 possibilities and each template after that had fewer and you rolled a lower sided dice for each one. Nuts!

A guy in my group ran 13 WG with AC and SS plus a 200 Lord for 1500 pt tournies.

Two favorite second edition memories were:

1. Abadon uses his special sword to kill a rhino. It explodes, flips, lands on him, and kills him.

2. A tech-marine riding a motorcycle throws a vortex grenade, kills some dreadnought. However, due to the turning radius rules ends up driving himself into the Vortex grenade template as well.

Good times!

Owns Whole Set of Skullz Techpriests

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

Single best shot from 2nd Ed.

Basilisk. They could fire twice a turn. You generally wanted to hit with one and miss with the other, as one shot was usually enough to kill what you were firing at so the second one could scatter around.

Other side of the table I can see one Assault Marine as clear as day. I shoot at it. One hit, one miss.

The hit takes out the Assault Marine, his 4 buddies, and clips the track of a Land Raider. Land Raider flips, lands on a Tac Marine with a Missile Launcher. Good start.

Second shot scatters, hits a Land Speeder. Land Speeder goes out of control, slams into a Dreadnought. Dreadnought explodes, explosion takes out the other Land Speeder's crew, so it goes out of control, and flies into the Techmarine, killing him.

That was a good first shot of the game.

Them's some sweet Delaque. I look forward to seeing your finished paint job. Love the old Necro minis. So many great characters. My fav Delaque is that juve with the Autopistol and knife. He's just kinda badass. Though mine has a sword now.

Anyway. Here's my own offering for flashback Friday.

Excellent.

And have done so since they came out (I do not think we have even broken on yet).

Great looking battle setup Are those lego pieces stuck on the tanks front?

Not Lego lol, looks like riveted plate for battle damage repair but crudely made.

I like how they use the same characters and add spiky bits then call them chaos (the black legion has the ponytail veteran sergeants alter ego)

A friend has a couple of those in with the new plastics. They fit in rather well, I think. Took me a couple of turns to notice.

Those rectangular plates with rivets are from the old plastic Ork Battlewagon. They're the "tyres" for the large rear wheels from that model. That sprue lurked around in the mail order catalogue for ages after the kit itself vanished, as they were really useful (and presumably a different mould; they were always grey while the rest of the battlewagon kit was beige).
