I've drank maybe 3 cans of the stuff in the last 12 years, but I will probably go for the free product. After all, I didn't get wings...

While I find this particular case really stupid, I think that it and others like it will improve things.
I'm so tired of stupid ads for products. The day ads are reduced to nothing more than a logo and the words "buy it now please we're begging you" will be a glorious day

For a second, I thought the lawsuit was going to be over the fact that drinking Red Bull does not literally make you grow wings.
That wouldn't surprise me either.

Does this mean I can sue Audi for using the nonsense phrase 'Vorsprung Durk Technique'? (Sp) Because if I can I reckon I could get a gak sight more than 10 bucks....

I've spent about $10 on Redbull since 2012, not counting the free ones I got during over night inventories at Barnes & Noble. I'm not partial to the stuff, but there've been times where it was all that was available and there's a couple mixed drinks that it's pretty good in plus 2 months ago I decided to give the newish Blue/Red/Silver varieties a shot just to see what they tasted like. So I think I'll go for it.

I tried Red Bull twice.
The first time I was sober, at work: the machine dispense one by mistake when I wanted a Dr. Pepper. I took one sip and dumped it, it tasted like what I imagine battery fluid tastes like.
The second time I was already fairly drunk, and I had a few Jager bombs upon the advice of a friend. Unfortunately I don't remember what it tasted like then because I drank some Jager bombs.

I enjoy some Red Bull and Jager. It's also pretty good with vodka. I don't drink a lot of energy drinks or soda, but it is the only energy drink I've found that I can drink one of and not immediately get a terrible stomachache or headache.
Don't get me wrong, the flavor isn't great on it's own, but it gets the job done and isn't the least palatable thing in the world.
I should get in on this. Ten bucks is ten bucks.

Seriously though, I would love for honest advertisement to happen. "According to tests our shampoo the 4th best on the market! Buy it today!"

The only way I've ever drank Red Bull was in delicious Vegas Bombs. Probably the only way I ever will, as it masks the nasty taste of Red Bull

I should sue BMW, because in the US they're running with "The Ultimate Driving Machine"... well, I went with Audi, because it was better.... If something is better than your product, how can it be the "ultimate"?

IDK about the US but in the UK advertising is legally regarded as "a puff" unless it makes specific concrete claims.
The claim "gives you wings" is not a concrete one because a reasonable person knows it is impossible. Therefore the advert is a puff.

The thing is, As of 11pm last night, I was still seeing commercials for Redbull saying 'Redbull gives you wings'... if the slogan is misleading to warrant settlement, one would think the slogan would be pulled?

Its common sense. If someone tried to put a false advertising claim against "It gives you wings," they'd get laughed at and told to feth off. If Red Bull claimed it could make you lose 20kg if you drink it 3 times a day and it really didn't that's a different matter.
Similarly, if a shampoo says "visible increases shinyness" no one will bat an eyelid. If it said "guarenteed to reduce dirt, dandruff and kill lice within 1 use," its a problem.
