I think I still saw it on a shelf where I buy my 40K stuff.

Agonizing over this box set. That Broodlord is awesome, and a new Carnifex would be cool. But I don't need more Genestealers or Warriors. Also not really into Blood Angels (although they are sure to find a home if I tried). Not sure whether I want to commit to the set. Alternatively, the choice might be made for me - as things sell-out so damn fast!

Ah, looks like GW plan is working. People who would not normally buy is ready to impulse buy now. Shamefully it's working on me as well. I am thinking of getting it as well. Problem is I might be too slow in ordering it and will be sold out by then.

Yup. Exactly this. These boxsets are such a great idea for them. They can sell under-sold model kits (things like Genestealers / Warriors) and while getting people to buy-in to a second army. Or splitting it with a friend - increasing the number of new players in the game, or armies existing players collect.

That's just mean.

It's also illegal.

Tyrannocytes hold twenty models, not thirty.

Yes it is legal as the three Tyrannocytes will carry the Three Tervigons.

Are they putting 30 Termagants in Tyrannocytes?
Because, again, it's twenty model capacity.

There's only 3 Tyrannos for the three Tervs. I imagine the Terms are just for spawning purposes or outflanking.

30-Terv Unit makes Tervigons a troop-choice. I assume he was putting those in the back-field as OB-sec.

So completely legal.

Is this new boxed set a limited thing? I can use all the Tyranid models and I don't have a copy of the rulebook so I would really like to get it.

I need a new FLGS. I tried to order two copies of the box set and they told me they couldn't get any.

Because as of right now, it's not supposed to be available.

Hmm... it doesn't come with any Gaunts. That's actually fantastic, as I don't want any more Gaunts. I don't need any more 'Stealers, but whatever, 8 more 'Stealers is better than 12+ more 'Gaunts.

How many Carnifexes would that bring me to... 11 I think, not including the two old metal ones.

Ok, I can use all the models in here...traded away all of my old 1st and 2nd ed Space Hulk stealers to a friend a few years back, so need more of them. Currently have only three Warriors, so 3 more would be great. I have only one 'Fex, so a pair would be great...in fact, two of these sets would be great! My best bud plays Blood Angels, so I'm sure he could use them....and I have yet to purchase the 7th ed rules...so, win-win-win-win-win! Now i just have to click faster than everyone else, so I can get one before they sell out 10 minutes after they go up for preorder....

Shield of Baal: Deathstorm

I know it's technically not available yet, but I was letting him know, so that if he couldn't get enough, I would have been the first come, first served.

He said it was limited and they wouldn't be getting any.
Which bothers me because ,like you pointed out, it's not officially available yet and this is the same store where I bought the Stormclaw box set.

Off topic-

really? It's an awful mould. Riptide is by far the best model out there for 40k.

I always really liked the carnifex, one of the first non-Tau models I bought for 40k and one of the ones I had the most fun building just because the model looked so awesome. That said the kit itself isn't so great, but that's more due to age than anything. It's been a while but if I remember right the sprues are awful bare, like most large, older kits like the devilfish or wave serpent; lots of empty space that nowadays would be packed full of random bits (or wasted with bits you can't use because it's a dual kit and you can only build one of the models, but you know).

I've been to my local store - ask about shield of Baal box set.. My local made a call to see what dates boxset will release -- GW HQ said it is false.. So was the rumour incorrect? Where the proof?

I wouldn't trust anything the shop owner is told or tells you before they actually have the details of the preorders in hand. GW try to hide everything about new releases even when the internet has figured it out long ago (though they have really cut down on leaks now).

I know it's BS, that's why I'm aggrivated. He's not even going to try to order it now.

Saturday afternoon I'm taking a road trip to the next closest gaming shop about a 45 minutes drive from here.

I WILL have my mini rule book, with Blood Angels Logo on top, or the streets will run red with the blood of heretics !!!

New store suppossedly is much better stocked with GW product, so might snag me some new nids while I'm there as well.

I doubt you'll get that. The Stormclaw mini rulebook was just the standard one that's in the Dark Vengence set, no special logo or anything. I imagine this one will be the same as well.

The stormclaw mini rulebook was almost certainly the same print run as the mini rule books included in Dark Vengeance. It would cost GW alomst nothing to change the cover art on a later print run while increasing sales, especially amongst Blood Angels Players and completionist collectors.

They could... I wouldn't be counting on it though.

I'm sure it would have cost them almost nothing to do the Stormclaw rulebook as different cover as well. But almost nothing is still more than absolutely nothing.
