Oh my gosh, yes! I know he didn't make the lists like some of these fine other posters, but he seems to be immensely helpful in there, particularly to new painters seeking tips and advice.

Just a note on Kroothawk, he simply chose to stop posting, nothing is technically stopping him from doing so.

Aw shucks, fellers. Y'all sure know how to make a lady blush... And by lady, I mean "incredibly masculine man" (rest assured - I post this wearing a combination of equal parts wool, flannel, and my own prodigious facial hair).

I do stick mainly to P&M, although I also peruse and occasionally post in the showcase, blog, and discussion areas. I'm more of a painter/modeler than a player and I'm more of a Dakkanaut than a painter/modeler and I'm more of a guy who likes to hear (or read) himself talk (or type) than a dedicated forum user, so it's only natural that I keep spouting advice, really. It warms the cockles, if they remain, of my little heart to know that it actually does someone any good. Or, at the very least, appears to others that it's doing others any good.

Pshaw, those would be "middle-aged guns" in Dakka chronology, at best.

The rest, yes, but not mauleed. Get him, Snord and Bugswarm back in action. Hell, throw in Drew Riggo as well.

Hell the reason I registered at Dakka was to argue with mauleed, and then I found myself siding with him against Drew.

I actually played in a tournament against mauleed! This was after his Dakka days, though, and he had apparently mellowed out quite a bit (gotten into one of the martial arts, I believe). I found him quite pleasant to play against, and as usual when I ask folks, found the origin of his username disappointing (a variant on his actual name)

I always liked him, and Shuma as well. As I have always said, I think they are a bit ban happy on here considering almost everyone is a grown up and they have a language filter. Thanks to mine I rarely have feth all to talk about these days, but I'm too stubborn to leave, and too proud and honest to make a sock, so alas, its the occasional glib comment from me in the video games forum.

Needless to say I've been chomping at the bit with some of the crazy gak that has been going on lately as well.

Can I claim some kind of "professional lurker" title as the regular user who has made the least impact on the community vs time spent as a registered user? I'm sure there are more deserving people for that tile, but the good news is that nobody will come out to claim it!

I'll allow you in some sort of best avatar category.

That'd probably be the only one that I'd qualify for too. And I've been on Dakka longer than my profile lets on. I remember when we were still on EZboards.
