So, anyone else tried watching new anime yet?

I gave Dungeon ni Deai wo and Shokugeki no Souma a quick spin but both I felt "meh". I eagerly await a sub for Kekkai Sensen.

There's a crap-ton of new ones today, tho, including Owari no Seraph.

Where do you guys tend to go to watch your anime?

I was looking through the list of spring Anime and found a few of the shows I'm interested in were missing from Crunchyroll (assuming licensing deals, etc...).

I'd like to check out Owari no Seraph, and then Arslan Senki and Kekkai Sensen when they get broadcast.

Yeah I use crunchyroll most of the time. I just watched the first episode of "Is it wrong to try and pick up girls in a dungeon" seems quite interesting. Titles one of those though.. haha

Also, almost finished Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin. Extremely brutal but amazing anime. Would recommend for people who enjoy something very maturely focused.

Aaww, don't tell me that, I really liked the setting and I do hate vampires, so this show looks like such a win for me.

No, it's emotional trauma. It's a series about a 6 teenagers in 1950's Japan who get landed in a reformatory school. It's a really good look at how fethed Japan was after WWII but it's also depressing as all hell.

You have been warned, I'll spoiler some of the things you can expect in this. Read at your own risk.

Is it me, or is it really dull? Which is odd, because the setting is awesome.
I mean, in theory it should be a blast to watch, but I am bored with it for some reason.

Oh, it is super dull. Basically the best thing about it is the artwork and the robot- aside from that it's basically Twilight.

Fate/Zero had some neat fights, but there was a *lot* of banter going on between them, and it just wasn't a happy show all told. I mean, some of the fights were *really* neat, but... meh, a lot of stuff going on that I just didn't care about in between. Mileage will certainly vary. Pacing seemed a bit off too.

Agreed on the YMMV. Fate/Zero is both a prologue and heavily focused on intrigue, more so than the Fate/Stay story. Those are two things that can put people off rather easily (especially if you're not invested in the characters.)

I liked it, but I cried Manly Tears at the end and am something of a Fate fan (enough that I actually like the Fate/Stay Nigh deen anime.)

For anyone else who has watched Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin.

Mr. Sugi is amazing.

In preparation of just binging a large number of the shows this season, I started to watch The Fruit of Grisaia since it's getting a sequel in a week or so. Anyone else seen this?

The last three episodes I've watched are fething dark. The comments on Crunchyroll are likening it to Angel Beats. Perhaps that'll be the next series I check out. I've pretty much bounced back from my last feels trip, so I could use another good gut punch.

Lancer is awesome, gotta love them honourness.
Saber, the only thing she's done that stuck out was the adoreable part with the tiny lion.
Berzerker, Insane. Big armour. Heavy weapons, and a master who is slowly deteriorating. WTF was this guy made specifically for me?
Caster, is not ok. not at all. No.
Rider, again, I like the honours, and he seems a fairly nice guy. His abilities seem rather bland powerful.

Assassin. Meh.

Also, the small girl's mother nearly makes up for the lack of the small girl.
ep 12 so far. I like, if you couldn't tell. Better than stay night by far, though I preffered some of the characters in stay night.

so, this week was the decision for the new anime we will be watching for the anise club, among the nine series we watched was free eternal summer and big o.
I am happy to say big 0 beat out free. I was scared it wasnt. and no one else at the anime club knew about it or that it existed.
Time to introduce some oldtaku stuff to some younglings.

Oddly enough that show and escaflowne bored the crap out of me for some reason when they showed it on adult swim years ago.

Not gonna lie though about trinity blood. I would've totally boned that main character chick with the red hair.

The Worst part of Trinity Blood is the non ending. The good guys don't "win", the series just stops.
