The summer lineup has some stuff, but ymmv on how much. I remember Fate/Kaleid and that's about it.
Right now I've started watching Kinmoza!, which is adorable and fluffy and just what I needed this season. I like at least one happy/comedy/fluffy anime a season, and I was missing it this time around (especially with Re-kan going all feels on me all the time. Not that it's bad, just not what I was prepared for off the bat.)

I think the whole thing would've been better all-together if they'd made it full-blown Action, with the main girl being a little more gung-ho about saving herself and her planet, and a little less passive 'damsel in distress'- heck, even if she'd decided to flex a little political muscle, showcase those belligerent family upbringings and emphasize her having some character growth- as it was, the only 'growth' was basically a sort of bad-aesop of 'accept your low place in life and appreciate what little you have!'. Despite her being the literal ruler of Earth.
I feel that an actual anime version would change that, actually.
And Heroic Age, Evangelion, Eureka Seven (and AO), Attack on Titan, Naruto, and COUNTLESS other, primarily action Anime don't also have love stories as a part of the plot?
MB
I'm not saying the Love Story couldn't easily have been a core part of the movie- I'm just saying that how they handled this love story dragged it down- they were trying to hard to fit the (as another review put it) "Disney Princess" love story in there, with the classic Damsel in Distress, but went overboard with the 'helpless female' thing.
I'm perfectly fine having an un-trained pure-human female have to get rescued by a 'big strong soldier' from genetically engineered super-soldiers, but when that's basically the entire movie... It's like playing some sort of Space Mario game.
Also, what in the world does the "MB" stand for? It's not for your Dakka handle- so it just ends up being confusing when you sign all your posts with 'Monolith Bearer Unit Detachment'.

If any show deserves a second season, that show does.
Seriously, any show that ends with possible lesbian rape the narrator telling you "see you in hell, baby" deserves to keep going.
I also checked out the Jitsu wa Watashi wa PV teaser. It looks like they are keeping enough of the aesthetic to make it recognizable, without being off-putting to those who are used to the cookie-cutter art design you see in a lot of anime. If it's anything like the manga, it's bound to be good, and they are doing early screenings on the 20th, so it won't be long now.

I don't quite understand that.
The means of "putting down" the terminally cloudy hued is a bit complex.
For those who are not deemed irrevocably clouded, they use a fairly human paralysis, which is electromagnetic (it disrupts the nervous system).
The Professor character (who became part of the team in the second season) remarked upon this in the books (the rather gruesome manner in which criminals were put down), and when he figured out what the Sibyl System is/was, he figured that the means of putting down the criminally insane was due to the atypical sociopathy of the members of Sibyl itself (they have no empathy).

Well, I have finished watching the Triage X that was available at the time (until ep 8) and I must say, this is way better than I thought it would be (crappy vacation net, can't even watch a single stream because how slow it is )
The action has been pretty damn good and bloody, the main dude isn't the ass I thought he was gonna be. Hell, the girls are all pretty unique too. (My favorite one is the "demon nurse". There's something about a woman using a mini-gun that always conquers my heart. It's such a perfect combination).
The ecchi is pretty good too! The G-Strings, thongs and other very small female underwear or sexy outfits they keep showing is more erotic than fan-service, they don't even seem to make that many jokes related to their gigantic breasts. The censorship is pretty annoying. I do wonder if this will be released uncensored in the DVD / Blu-Ray edition.
One big complaint is how crazy the pacing felt: They were slowly introducing what was going on and we were starting to know what was going on "BAM" outta nowhere they are already fighting the big bad guys outta nowhere.
Well, concerning the summer season these are my thoughts:
Non Non Biyori Repeat:
Miss Monochrome: The Animation 2nd Season - Saw the entire first season. Pretty fun show made of short 5 mn episodes. No reason not to give the 2nd one a try.
Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakeri - So, a gate in a modern setting (like ours) opens to a fantasy world and the main character is a 33 year old otaku and JSDF Officer that meets and befriends beings like an elf, deamoness and there's plenty of political drama "On the other hand, the major powers outside the Gate such as the United States,China and Russia were extremely interested in the abundant resources available in the Special Region. They began to exert diplomatic pressure over Japan." This looks damn cool.
Overlord - I'm sorry? An anime where the main character is a gigantic skeleton wizard, or, for short a LICH, and his plan is to take over the world?
Bikini Warriors - I'm a pervert, I have no excuses
Some other look interesting too, but these look are probably the ones I'm going to give a watch first and check if I stay with them. (Except for NNB. I AM SO WATCHING THAT)

Well, this is the available synopsis:
In August of 20XX, a portal to a parallel world, known as the "Gate," suddenly appeared in Ginza, Tokyo. Monsters and troops poured out of the portal, turning the shopping district into a bloody inferno.
The Japan Ground-Self Defence Force immediately took action and pushed the fantasy creatures back to the "Gate." To facilitate negotiations and prepare for future fights, the JGSDF dispatched the Third Reconnaissance Team to the "Special Region" at the other side of the Gate.
Youji Itami, a JSDF officer as well as a 33-year-old otaku, was appointed as the leader of the Team. Amid attacks from enemy troops the team visited a variety of places and learnt a lot about the local culture and geography.
Thanks to their efforts in humanitarian relief, although with some difficulties they were gradually able to reach out to the locals. They even had a cute elf, a sorceress and a demigoddess in their circle of new friends. On the other hand, the major powers outside the Gate such as the United States,China and Russia were extremely interested in the abundant resources available in the Special Region. They began to exert diplomatic pressure over Japan.
A suddenly appearing portal to an unknown world—to the major powers it may be no more than a mere asset for toppling the international order. But to our protagonists it is an invaluable opportunity to broaden knowledge, friendship, and ultimately their perspective towards the world.

The ONE thing I am just DYING to see is the Ghost-in-the-Shell: Arise Alternative Architecture movie opening next weekend.
It will be SEVERAL MONTHS, no doubt, before Funimation get the translation done (unless, like GITS:AAA the series, they had a pre-arranged agreement with Studio IG to do the translations for subbing/dubbing BEFORE release, so that the movie could be released in the USA at the same time as Japan).
I am ALMOST tempted to hit my brother up for a pass ticket on his airline he flies for (or hitch a ride with him when he flies to Tokyo's Narita) to go see the premier in Tokyo in Akihabra or Shinjuku.
All I know about it so far (from having seen the first 12 minutes of the movie) is that it is the resolution of the Firestarter Arc.
SUPPOSEDLY, IG is going to continue the GITS: AAA storyline with additional OVAs or a new series. GITS: AAA remains probably the most impressive anime since Psycho-Pass in that regard, and is equal to the GITS: SAC arc with the Laughing Man, Individual Eleven, and Puppeteer arcs.
OH! It isn't "Anime," but Attack on Titan is getting a live-action series (what do you call it when they cast Asians as Europeans??? - but they had to go this for Shingeki no Kyoujin live-action series) that is supposedly going to do the COMPLETE story (I am WAY behind on the Manga, I need to correct that as soon as I finish here).
Ooh, that's a good one. One of my favorites. Great OPs for both seasons too (although I prefer Howling, abington boys school ranks over An Cafe for me)

Its fething awesome. I love it so far.
I have been meaning to re-watch this one.
But it is another example of an incomplete anime (like Chobits, the Sekerei Plan, Anything by Clamp, Sunday without God, Attack on Titan, Problem Children from another Dimension, and so on. . . .).
And I always get so pissed off by such anime.
It is like starting to have sex, having twenty minutes of great foreplay, and then stopping JUST as you begin the main event.
To be totally honest, I liked Darker Than Black's second season more than the first one. It answered some questions I had and expounded on alot of background. I can't recall if it really tied up 'every' loose end, but it fulfilled some of the more major things I wondered about.
Honestly it just made me wanna see more of their world, and that's not at all a bad feeling. I don't need everything tied up perfectly.

But yeah, incomplete anime annoy me.
Like Black Bullet. I wanted more Kagetane :(
h
Black Bullet was a freaking AWESOME anime... And then it just ended right in the middle of the story.
I need to get a petition together (in Japanese) to send to the various studios, BEGGING THEM TO STOP THAT.
I would be willing to pay a LOT of money to an Anime provider if studios produced WHOLE ANIME.
Another one that drove me crazy:
Kamisama Dolls.
OMG was that freaking awesome... The little songs that each doll sang as they fought gave me goosebumps. Yet the Anime ended roughly ⅓ of the way through the Manga.
OH!!!!! MAJOR ONE!!!:
Bleach
It ended just prior to the best arc of the Manga, where they finally reveal EVERYTHING about Ichigo, his mother, his father, the Quincys, etc.
What the feth!!!
I mean... REALLY??? the studio produces an anime that runs for almost 1,000 episodes, yet they cannot be assed to create one additional season that wraps up freaking every loose end and question raised in the anime!
Apparently the reason why they do that is because they really, really want to sell you the books.
The anime in this case is merely an ad.
Which is a stupid system.

Not catching up to the manga seems lame. But what about when the entire single-season anime is the hook to sell the stupid novels? Legend of Legendary heroes, ghost hunt... I'm looking at you. Both end right as everyone is queuing up to kick ass or things have dramatically changed (possibly for the better). /madface
I just thought of another two that were/are unfinished:
Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere. Brilliant anime, but basically an ad for the Light Novels. They need to produce the rest of them, as they could have a franchise larger than Naruto with the number of novels in that series.
And that strange anime about anthropomorphic cockroaches on Mars, that was tiringly slow, and where almost everyone dies.
I hear it is also basically a promo for a manga or novel.
It could have been pretty good, but I am not going to support something that treats me like that.
