While I admit to this I was surprised during 'monster' when it first shows adult johan about to shoot some burglar he hired to death I kind of didn't care for all the massive emotion. I was more like "Just get on with it!" and then "Finally!" once johan killed the guy. Maybe I'm a bad person or maybe that character wasn't fleshed out enough for me to care. Maybe a bit of both.
That said the young boy being abused though. Holy crap that scene where he walks away with the main protagonist away from his abusive adoptive father was just too much. Wow I got emotional. I don't think I cried but jeez.

And the fact that the death count is actually really low.
I think the death count might actually be negative numbers now...
Heh, well that's hardly unusual for that type of anime to be fair.

Here is my problem. Granted im 5 episodes away so things might change
Guila got her hand striaight cut off, and they healed it right back on.
So what happens? The princess gets hurts in an explosion, but she died? Why couldnt they feed her one of the magic balls to heal her?
And the scale keeps escalating, but if no one dies, what is the point? If death cannot happen or has no meaning, why should I care?
Death does happen for at least two characters that I know of. Death in this series is meant to be an emotional battle rather than a physical one. You watch this battle series for cool fight scenes and the interaction of the characters.
Edit: I'm not sure how I feel about Haikyuu taking a 2 season break for the finals match.

Just wait for it. That gets explained later.

Who is everyones favorite anime reviewer.
I like Tristan Gallant over on Youtube (Glass Reflection is the channel name.) I've noticed I agree with his reviews on most points, and he's into stuff I wouldn't normally look for that I tend to like.
I even ended up supporting his Patreon, because it's the future and being able to make a living on anime reviews is cool.

I'm a big fan of the Anime World Order podcast, but they release episodes so sparingly I've just been working my way through their backlog. The big plus of AWO is that they tend to review older shows, so it's good to pick from things I've never heard of.

He seems like a cool guy. I remember he hates 'School Days' with a passion. He also dresses fancy (that aspect reminds me of zap brannigan).
@cthuluisspy: I'd say you're on the right track then. Freaking critics ruining everything for everybody. That said the ones with a stick up their *** are the worst. Least some highlight the good and bad but the ones on sites are paid for good reviews and are just awful.
I told my local brony about Horse Girls and how strange the premise is. . they're girls with horse tails and ears that do horse things, they're also lesbians and idols... That might be a drunk watch...
I did it, I've watched all of Fairy Tail and holy crap was that a lot of anime in a short span.
Also, standard alert: Spring Season starts Friday with a staggered schedule of new shows over the next two weeks.

I’ve been watching Fairy Tail on Netflix. It’s fun and lighthearted, without getting too fanservicey a/o grim. But with some meat to it, rather then just saccharine.

Would recommend it to others.
I would too, but man it's looooong 277 episodes atm. It's no Naruto, Bleach, or certainly One Piece, but it's still a long haul.

I does. It basically has the main cast educate students on how babies are made, because none of them know.
like, literally none, there is a whole character based on learning how babies are made because, by high school, she doesnt know because all the words are forbidden.
Watched the show as it aired, it gets uh... Like a thin veneer of slime...the humor of the show kinda died because you can only make D jokes so many times.

But it was basically the same one several times for 12 episodes. The story got good, and it was always funny to see how they would try to teach the kids about sex ed, and I wouldn't mind seeing another season so I can see the two MCs develop. There were genuinely parts that made me cringe more than anime usually does.
