Yah, they lost me there. I enjoyed the first session, but the 2nd was a little too far out there for me to enjoy.

I have started re-watching Bleach, due to a fantastic crossover I read that incorporated it. It's better than I rememberspected it to be.

I tried Bleach. Watched the 1st dozen or so before I just went "Not for me!" and noped outta it

Bleach is even worse than DBZ when it comes to dragging out story lines XD

Just discovered that Bokurano was made into an anime. Not sure how I feel about that tbh.

I watched it for a while. Lost interest in the main characters after a while. But the secondary characters were still interesting. Then they got dull. Got to the point I was only watching to find out more about the tertiary characters, as anyone resembling a main/secondary character had been pretty fleshed out, so was just going through their moves. Then I just dropped it and didn’t look back.

I liked Bleach, and even though it had a ton of filler, I did not know most of it Was filler, because they didn't really interrupt ongoing plot arcs so bad with long long strings of flashbacks or random crap. I'm looking at you, Naruto.

The power creep in bleach is extremely dumb though.

Very true. This is part of the reason I'm such a fan of crossover fanfiction- it allows better storytelling in a world with good concepts but bad execution.

For example, the Bleach crossover I'm reading now is one where they're basically taking characters from another 'toon and slotting them into the Bleach roles- not with the names or powers or anything, but the general ideas and situations. Character A suddenly gets Soul Reaper powers, Character B shows up to deal with it, deeper issues start showing up as the Hollows get worse, etc. etc.

But it's stuff like watching what the author chooses as new Zanpakuto release forms and how these different characters handle the situations given them that's really interesting.

Rewatched Girls Und Panzer: Still a fun show, but a tank being back to drift (while fething awesome) is kind of silly.

That said, I am planning to watch Persona 3: Falling Down when I get the chance from painting and my school work (going through both Persona 3/4 right now but it is kind of slow due to school and other factors).

I minded the drinking tank less than the rules of the game constantly changing to keep making the protags ever more underdogs.

Eh, tournaments do what they want. It's also implied in story that the big schools do that on purpose to keep the smaller schools from having a chance at winning.

I'm looking forward to the movie, even if it'll be another Sentai production (they also got Flying Witch, but they probably won't dub it so I'm not too mad. Plus if they don't pick stuff up no one else will sometimes.)

Now if only someone would pick up Konosuba (probably waiting for that ova or the second season, I'd wager.)

Guess that does make a slightly bigger issue. Since most of St. Oorarai's tanks is what would be considered 'Garbage' in the early parts of the show.

Speaking of GuP, or at least their staff, has anyone given High School Fleet a go? I've heard it's Hunt for the Red October with high school girls, so I'm considering giving it a go (or maybe waiting for the hopeful Funimation dub.)

Yeah, I'm on episode two right now. It's feeling a lot like Girls Und Panzer crossed with Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Im enjoying at the moment.

I think I said my problem with GuP was the fact of its large cast.
I liked the hippo team girls, but they where barely part of it. The First years seemed cool too, but the same problem. The Volleyball team seemed the best just because of it.
And wearing skirts in thw inter, seriously.

If you guys haven't given it a shot yet, go watch Redline, it's a movie that came out a few years ago from Madhouse, it's a solid racing film with awesome animation to boot.

Watched it some time long ago. The story and characters were simplistic, but it was simplistic enough that it was enjoyable with a charm to it and the animation is quite solid.

Just finished watching Ergo Proxy. Very cool visuals and atmospherics...but a totally drawn out story that's extremely "been done before...a lot" once they *finally* get to it.

I'd give it a solid "B", the plot was ultimately "ok" but very droning, though animation & stylings were absolutely top notch.

I thought Ergo Proxy's pacing was terrible. It felt really slow and drawn out. At least NGE had interesting character interactions during its slow moments, but Proxy just felt sluggish to me.
It had gorgeous animation and a nice setting, but it should have gone a bit faster.

Speaking of NGE - Episode 19 is brutal and awesome. I like how Shinji finally has a badass moment, and then it ends because he's out of batteries
The whole show is basically Murphy's Law mixed with Freud, I love it
