Hi everyone,

The Batman game from Knight Models has been picking up a lot locally, and the lure of painting comic characters got to me. I've put aside painting Infinity for a while (see my thread here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/541127.page ) to get a small Batman and Poison Ivy crew going.

First up is Batgirl:

Next is Damian Wayne:

Poison Ivy:

The final piece is actually one I did a couple years ago, a small Harley Quinn mini-diorama. This wasn't a game piece, just a fun project:

I also have a group of plants for Ivy, but no pics of them yet. Catwoman is on the painting table right now and I hope to have her done in a week or so.

Hope you like the models!

My wife and I are just getting into this game. Brilliant sculpts on everything we've purchased so far.

These models are just exquisitely painted. Really inspiring stuff. If ours look 1/8 this good I'll be thrilled.

Look forward to more.

Thanks!

These models take some extra care when painting as some of the details are a bit shallow and you can lose them if you are not paying attention. My favourite so far was Damian, he is a small and relatively simple model, but has a lot of character.

Thanks!

Green Arrow is next after I finish Catwoman. I will get a Batman eventually, but haven't decided between the Arkham City version and the Frank Miller one.

Next up is Catwoman. I originally started this model about 6 months ago, gave up after a week or two of work, then picked it up again a couple weeks ago. This was tough model to paint. The detail on the cast is shallow (I think I basically free handed a bunch of the details on) and her suit is complex. . Anyhoo, here are the pics:

You did a great job on Cat Woman well done.

The only poorly painted miniature is the one that is not painted.

To get a true sense of how awesome these are, you really need to see the picture with the penny beside Robin...made my head explode.

Fantastic paint jobs, every single one of them!

"Trust in the Emperor at the hour of battle.
Trust to him to intercede, and protect his warriors true as they deal death on alien soil.
Turn their seas to red with the blood of their slain.
Crush their hopes, their dreams
And turn their songs into cries of lamentation."

Absolutely incredible!

I'm just getting in to this game myself (well, collecting the miniatures at least). I've been stunned by how good the sculpts are , and wonder why I hadn't noticed the game before!

Beautiful brushwork on these, the graduations of colour and texture is just so well done - definitely inspirational!

Damn, that's good! An excellent blend of the bright comic version I don't much care for and the more sombre TV version! Brilliant stuff!

Well damn. These are awesome. Love the color scheme choice on the brick. Was this all done free-hand via brush or did you use an airbrush for any of it?

Loving that Green Arrow! Any plans to paint up any of the Marvel characters Knight Models produce?

It's all regular brush work. I don't have much of a feel for using my airbrush on smaller scale models so I generally only use it on terrain.

I have a couple more models for the Batman game and Wonder Woman, as well as a 75mm Miss Marvel, but none of the 35mm Marvel. Not a lot of the Marvel stuff has appealed to me, though I may give them another look once I finish up on my immediate plans for the Batman stuff.
