How much shipping do they project the lockdown pledge to be?

(US in particular, but I'm sure others would appreciate other places.)

I imagine it will be in the 30-40 range.

The update says Lockdown will ship for the same price as Quarantine: "Shipping costs for this package are also exactly the same as they are for Quarantine."

The front page says shipping will be: "As a rough estimate, the Quarantine pledge level will cost about $10 to ship in the UK, USA, EU and Canada, and around $25 to Australia and the rest of the world."

So that makes Lockdown an even better deal (probably save $10+ by the end of it).

And I winder how safe it is to assume additional stretch goals will be included in lockdown since its the "all everything" pledge level.

Pretty sure that's what the e-mail said.

I thought Mantic mentioned that a Lockdown pledge would not cost any more to ship than a Quarantine one. In fact, they did. Says so in the update.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Sure was nice to see the total jump by 12k or so in an hour.

Good gravy, if those Asterians were just 5k we've already unlocked them... Maybe another 10k goal but even that won't be safe for long at this new bubbly pace.

We will include the Asterian Faction Booster free in the new LOCK DOWN pledge!

Whoah. I actually agree with Alex on something. Must be a full moon...

I really like the concepts but I'm not interested in metal for Deadzone, so will happily just ignore these.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

I don't mind metal for human sized models. Mixing materials is annoying, but that ship has sailed with DZ1 mercs and upgrade packs already...

$5 per model is well past stupid expensive for rank and file.

The kalyshi are $3 per model and aren't meant to be rank and file either.

Also, $3 for a metal model on the low end generally.

A bit saddened by Metal. I realize this is suppose to be a more elite unit though and you have to plan for demand.

I think Mantic needs to be smart here. A goal to entice more over to Lockdown (my naming idea!!!) is nice, but then you gotta go back and do a plastic goal that can be thrown in Quarantine for free as well to help fill up all those opening EBs so that come Sunday, they aren't on the final Sprint, and it looks as if they couldn't even fill the initial quota.

Get those people in for a $1 off the fence. Show that Quarantine hasn't run it's course. Stair-step people up through the weekend by making us want to stair-step up.

I think the booster was a little sloppy. Does it come with a platform.

You can add on the Asterian Faction Booster for $25, or you can also add on a squad of 5 Kalyshi for $15.

The Booster is 5 Kalyshi and 2 weapon drones (not pictured)

Mohawks, swords, spiky armor-- of course they'll be metal. Or, rather, MËTÄL!!!

Now showing various models from the previously adandoned projects!

Painting total as of 3429/2024: 56 plus a Deva King statue
Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

Looks like the new pledge level kicked this one into gear!

Personally upgraded to Lockdown + extra mat + 160 Zombies.

Love the Kalyshi. Also love the fact they're METAL. I don't understand the hate. When I got into gaming EVERYTHING was metal...

Metal is fine. My only concern would be their size, since Mantic's scale is a little all over the shop with "human-sized" figures.

I'll secede the Kalyshi being in metal. Spindly hunter ladies are probably much more stable in metal. Plus I can't stand fiddling with thin resin.

If they were restic they would be mushy blobs.

HP would have been preferred, but even then, I can't argue too much with the booster being added to the Lockdown pledge, and 5 for $15 is not a bad deal at all.

If you want Asterians...

I'd prefer to convert them from dreadball minis or even Mantic Elf Scouts.

Not entirely true. And some of us had the good sense to hate metal even then.

I really hate the fact they fight half nude. I kinda understand it for an underground sports team but a fighting force is just dumb.

Shattered that goal. Seems like not a lot of new backers either so maybe the $1 folks jumped in...

Unless they go Black Library on the pricing, I would buy a copy. I set aside money for their Dungeon Saga adventure books, but then they decided not to make printed copies. I would buy and read Bloodstone of Cyrillion in paperback if they ever released it. Rulebooks tend to be pricier and have less fluff to make room for rules, so I would not be as likely to buy those.

Jonathan has Bloodstone up for print-on-demand, if you need a hard copy. It's a shame about that cover, but the story inside looks enjoyable from the snippets I've read.

I'm guessing the same will happen with this Plague Beast.

This sums up the campaign for me - every concept art tease is the start of another material and price lotto. A crazy way to run a campaign.

Agreed. I would trade all the metal and resin models in a heartbeat for another sprue or two of veermyn and 1 or 2 sprues from some other factions, preferably Forgefather steel warriors and/or Asterians. I was actually hoping to go heavily in on Veermyn this time around, but the lack of plastic sprues besides the beginning one and then producing every model since in resin (Which I dislike using compared to restic or Mantic's board-game-plastic) or metal (Which I dislike using compared to basically any other material besides silly putty) means I'm now looking more closely at the Enforcer offerings because of the HIPS offerings. I love the cheesy aesthetic for ratmen in space, but I know I'm personally not buying a broodmother, shredder, chem-thrower, or night terror until they're offered in something besides metal or resin.

Apparently this is being teased for this weekend.

Gotta say, I think a hard plastic sprue of stormrage vets-style Forgefathers for Zombie pricing would end up with me probably doubling my pledge for them alone. I love dem dorfs.

Imagine the feeling when you position your tanks, engines idling, landing gear deployed for a low profile, with firing solutions along a key bottleneck. Then some fether lands a dreadnought behind them in a giant heat shielded coke can.

I'm going to plunk down a fair bit of cash if those Dwarves wind up happening.

While I like the Asterians, I'm not too keen on the Kaylishi. I prefer my space elves to be sleek and high tech, not half naked and mohawked. One thing I don't think many people noticed though, the 3 pictured in the sketch aren't all female. The one on the right with the bow is a dude.
