Hail survivors!

First of all, we'd like to give you a general update on the production side. As you may be aware of, Chinese New Year begins on January 31st and this holiday will go on until February 22nd. During CNY our factory will be closed, so that means they will only be able to resume work on Zombicide Black Plague's production after that. Due to their public holiday and also the huge quantity of components that are required to fulfil your pledges, all the production should be ready by April, which means we estimate Wave 2 packages will be delivered by June. We don't have a hard date to share with you yet, but we'd like you to know that we will do everything in our power to get everything done as quickly as possible. We wanted to be transparent with you and share our realistic estimates, even though that might not be what you all wanted to hear. We hope the quality of the product you will receive makes up for this delay.

In order to continue showing the progress of the production, we got some new pictures for you! You're used to seeing Unboxings, well, here's a Boxing guide the factory sent us, showing how the Kickstarter packs will be assembled.

First off, here is the Huntsman Pack, which contains all the Kickstarter Exclusive Stretch Goals all of the backers will get, both those with Huntsman and Knight-level pledges.

First, the Dice bag and NPC counter bases go on the bottom of the box.

A tray with the NPCs and other Zombie miniatures, First Player Coin and Black Dice goes on top of it.

On top of that goes the second tray with the Survivor, Necromancer and remaining Zombie miniatures, as well as the Survivor ID Cards, and Spawn cards for the Necromancer.

Finally, the box is closed with all its goodies inside!

And for those of you that went for the Knight Pledge, here is what the Knight Pack will look like. This contains the Kickstarter Exclusives that only Knight-level backers will get.

The tray holds the Survivors, Necromancer and awesome Abomination miniatures.

Then we have the Rules leaflet for the Abominations, Survivor ID Cards and Spawn Cards for Grin.

Those are folded under the tray, and everything goes inside the box.

And if you got a Knight Pledge, there is also one other amazing box coming your way. We have already received the first sample of it, and it looks awesome. Please enjoy the unboxing of Wulfsburg!

Opening the box you see the rulebook and tiles.

Under them you have rows and rows of Wolfz miniatures, the fearsome Wolfbomination, and the 4 new Survivor miniatures. 4 extra survivor plastic dashboards to play with up to 10 players at once, the Survivor ID cards, Spawn cards, Equipment cards, and all the pegs and counter bases.

We also noticed that some of you have been having issues with tiles warping. Unfortunately this can happen due to a change in humidity and weather conditions, but don´t worry because there's an easy solution to make your tiles get back to normal: place them under some real heavy books for a day or two. That way, the warping will reduce in time, as the tiles acclimate to your weather.

Also, who knew that "Traditional" CNY 2016 is Jan. 31st through February 22nd, 23 days in a row!

This is versus...'Modern? CNY (?), which is 'only' 7 days in a row.

I guess CMON works with a more...traditional Chinese factory?

. I remember the pic from the KS, but to see a production one next to the others just blows me away. Now I wish I had gone Double Knight pledge

Those 3 are boxed together in the zombie bosses set they just haven't shown them yet they are probably still in the manufacturing stage.

The Ratbom still looks bigger than all three of those, especially the blob.

Also I'd like to mention as I don't see it mentioned enough how good the models are. The sculptors do a great job, but CMon really makes these worth getting. I just saw an open box of another kickstarter in a store that I loved the sculpts for (The bruce lee game, dragon rising or something like that), and the models are terrible. The way the sculpts were cut to make them moldable and the poor over all quality had me leaving that game on the shelf.

Finally finished Clovis.
Not my favourite model, as he is rather busy. Lot of little random bits of armour, belts, and things hanging all over him.

Time for another row of zombies I think.

But that's not everything in the Knights pledge. Is there a 3rd wave with the other NPCs, Abomination variants, special guest heros and hero pack that come with the Knights pledge? And I thought we were getting Wave 2 in 1st QT of 2016? June is last month of 2nd QT. And when can the 3rd wave with the rest of the knights pledge be expected? The kickstarter said December 2015 and sure I got the basic game then but its kinda misleading considering this isnt CMONs first kickstarter.

And FYI; I have had some employees in China for the last ten years and they only take 7 days off. I think the factory is pulling CMONs leg with this "It's a 15 day national holiday" the Shanghi Stock Exchange is only closed 5 days from Feb 8th to Feb 12th I can't imagine factories get 15 days.

In this update they're just showing everything that's kickstarter exclusive, plus the expansion box. Everything they haven't shown is stuff that comes in its own box.

The abomination expansion box, the extra hero box, the three special guest boxes, and one or more NPC boxes.

That's a fantastic job on Clovis, Arson Fire ! Really liked that mini, think he is the favourite of the heroes I have painted so far.

Does anyone know of any player-made suggestions for playing with less than the full 6 heroes?

Ideally some kind of formula of how many zombies to use when using 3 or 4 heroes.

Well, they advise adding a spawn point for every two survivors over 6, so perhaps reduce by one for 3-4?

Wasn't it a backer who suggested Dr. Stormcrow? Brilliant idea, whoever came up with it. The sculpt looks fantastic.

And I'm still mightily impressed that CMON put that much talent and production into the Abominarat, a kickstarter exclusive. I think it's one of their best figures ever. I know KS exclusives are a justifiably sore point for some, but for me they help ensure value for money when I'm backing, which I need as a push to plunk down $150 for a boardgame.

As far as the other Abominations go, I think we owe their existence mostly to the sculptor, who just did them uncommissioned and then showed them to CMON, who added them in. I know that's how the Abominataur and Ablobination got made; CMON did ask him to come up with the Abominarat at the end, since millions of dollars were being made. Give that sculptor a prize - this game looks much, much cooler thanks to his contributions.

So I just bought the first edition of the game, and I'm pumped to play, but I'm kinda confused as to what constitutes a zone. Is it the area between each street lines and rooms all count as one?

Looks like full-Kickstarter-production-length turnaround on them, doesn't it? Given the amount of shipping that we paid on them from memory, I expect they may well be sent from the USA as well.

For the ultimate Survivors Box they did say it would ship from the usual regional shipping centres so yours should be coming from the Australia hub.

As I don't have my game yet and none of the modern ZC games, I have to ask instead: is there enough dakka equipment in BP to make it feasible to scan the cards/take their stats and photoshop some 40k weapons on them and have a decent enough impression of firefighting mobs?

Turning Deathwatch Overkill into a 40k ZC and mowing down hordes of cultists sounds strangely appealing. It even has a "necro" in form of the magus

You could probably just use the gun stats from the standard zombicide as a base and custom your own from there. There are no point costs in Zombicide, and it's a cooperative game, so there isn't much balance issues. If any weapon is REALLY good, you can control how many of them are in play by limiting the amount of them in the equipment deck.

If you pop over to the Zombicide on BoardgameGeek, you'll be able to find lots of pictures of the official and custom cards that you can get stats from.
