Subject: Game of Thrones Season 5 - Hyped! [SPOILERS]
I see GRM last two "double" books as a unneccasary sub plot tbh. I won't be buying any more of them
I am hoping nothing is set in stone now and the writters can get on with the actual story.
Some fun things I'd like to see:
The Wildlings come south but half start pillaging and heading further South - if there any of the canibal tribe left they could be interesting
Tomen grows a spine and rescues his queen
Ramsey causes havoc with Stanis's men
Reek is killed by Sansa whilst escaping
Last attempt at rebellion in Meerem is crushed and the last ones are fed to Dragons in the Arena. Crowd cheers.
Red Priestess shows up to also advise Dany
Varis shows up in Dorne to persuade them to ally with Dany

Not...quite yet. Episode 10 will likely catch up to the books r.e. The Wall.
Unless you're specifically talking about Winterfell, not The Wall? In which case, Sansa has been merged with another character in the books (Fake Arya, aka Jeyne Poole). The books do cover this, just with Jeyne Poole not Sansa.

So, considering we're about to hit 'new territory', how likely do we think it is that Ser Jorah will get a suitably epic death in tomorrow night's episode?
Spoiler:
I'm hoping not, as I love watching Iain Glen in the role, plus Jorah is one of my favourite characters in the books & there's hints that he might likely be one of the dragon riders... (something the series hasn't touched on at all, hence why I'm worried he's going to get offed like Selmy was. :()

Not sure - more than likely if he is looking to do something else! It would be pretty cool for him to give his life to save the Queen - as Tyrion said was likely - the other option is that he svaes her from assassins and hence regains a little of her favour - eepecially if she finds out he is dying - although its a bit bizare the slavers did not notice his affliction!

They could stretch him out for most of season 6 if they really want to. It's taken 4 episodes for him to gain an inch of greyscale.
What I expect to happen is:
Spoiler:
Danny goes to the games and she pulls a red wedding on the masters, prompting the Sons of the Harpy to attack (we know they do from the pictures pre-season 6.
I fully expect Daario or Hizdar to be the Harpy. Daario if it's him trying to get her to kill the masters. Hizdar if he's protecting his lifestyle.
Then, as the battle goes on, Drogon swoops down from all the blood, Danny hops up on him, and they fly off or something to that effect.
Probably the last shots we will see in the finale will be Jon Snow's events which I'll not say because of spoilers and then we'll pan past the wall to see that winter has come.
That, or it'll be Cersei's walk (which was confirmed) and ending with her getting picked up by Robert Strong. I feel like they could end tomorrow's episode with that and finish with King's Landing for the season, but I feel like she needs a confession seen and to tell Qyburn that it's time.
Or maybe we will see Kevan Lannister and then Varys giving him that special hello/goodbye from the books, though I expect they will save that for the next season (as Randyll Tarly is coming and was on the small council).
Has there been any confirmation that the final episode will be titled "Winter" so that winter has finally come?

Regarding Winterfell, we are 99% caught up to the books. Stannis' army is camped near Winterfell, preparing for a siege. The only thing left is...
Spoiler:
Fake Arya/Sansa and Theon's escape
.
The "Battle of Ice" has not yet taken place, it's coming in The Winds of Winter. In fact, it won't take even place straight away in TWOW, as there is at least one Theon chapter (released as a sample on GRRM's site) before the battle in which...
Spoiler:
Theon is interrogated by Stannis and sentenced to death.
So if we do get the (second) battle of Winterfell this season with Stannis vs the Boltons, the show will be treading entirely new ground. And will therefore be a HUGE SPOILER for book readers, as even we don't yet know the outcome.

Stone heart would be awesome (and give Brienne something to do), but I doubt they'll do it. The brotherhood has just kind of disappeared and I don't see them backtracking to them.
Brienne and Podrick could ambush Ramsey or try and break Sansa out (maybe Reek goes after Podrick).

1) The Hound: Yes, interesting jump I know and a bit of a stretch. But in the books Sansa sang to him twice while he was drunk and sang the song of The Mother to him asking her to make him gentle. The casting call for next season was looking for a "simple country priest" so it could be possible that Brienne could run into a certain priest and his grave digger next season. So that might be an opportunity to introduce that story line.
2) Cersei: The Walk - the faith is giving her the Mothers Mercy and allowing her to confess and accept the walk instead of a stronger punishment.
3) Danny: Probably the escape with her dragon seeing how she is the Mother of Dragons and all that.
4) The Wildling Girl: The whole baby plot is a lot different than in the books already, but if John's storyline continues (which I could see happening in Episode #9) then Sam might end up with the kid and get closer to the book storyline.
5) Stoneheard: Don't really see it happening, although I would love to be surprised.

I thought it was interesting that in the show someone in the Stark family now knows their siblings weren't murdered by Theon. That's not the case in the books right? I mean we assume Rickon is with the Manderly's in books (though it's never stated that I can remember) and Bran is where Bran is but no one knows they are alive right?

Highly doubt Stoneheart. They will most likely want to avoid viewers thinking that Sansa becomes one of the "the Undead". People already have problems differentiating White Walkers and Wights

No. Rickon is on the cannibal island of Skaagos with Osha. Lord Manderly sends Davos Seaworth to retrieve him in return for the Manderlys allegiance to Stannis.

Isn't a main character supposed to die in the next episode? Who will it be? Jorah (albeit he isn't main)? Theon? His story is told, at this point, in regards to the series. He proved to be unreliant and a traitor to Sansa. Tyrion? HAHAHAHAHA.
Seriously, if you kill Tyrion off, imma go fly to your studios and blood eagle all of ya!

Spoiler:
The Hound - depends compeltely if they think bringing him back will add anything to the alreay crowded plot - unlike GRM they do seem to actually consider this rather than just throwing in as mnay plots as possible to stall the whole thing..... I think they will pass
Cersei - all makes sense - intrigued how they are going to handle Margery as the High Sparrow does not care about the threats from anyone? UNless its the two of them walking together?
Dany - Again why bother with the Dragon "escape" adds nothing and wastes time (shockingly) have her reunited with him - he has already gone back to her once and burn the Harpies alive as a "mercy" and/or regain Jorah into the fold - kill him as an act of mercy
Gillie and the baby that never grows up - is it a Zombie?
Stoneheart - again what does it add - GRM did sod all with a great plot - again not unusual.

A 'main character' in the series is any cast member who's name appears during the opening credits. So anyone from Tyrion, to Stannis, to Jorah, to Little Finger, to Sansa & Theon, etc...

Saw two pics leaked from tonight/tomorrow's episode. Major spoilers underneath the button!
Spoiler:
Looks like Dany is going to fly away on Drogon...
...and there's also a picture with a pyre, two of Stannis' knights, and Shireen... Hope it's Shireen getting taken off the pyre, rather than on - that'd suck hard.

I can almost guarantee that Tyrion won't die. GRRM has stated that Tyrion is his favorite character. I'm pretty sure e the showrunners won't dump Dinklage either as they'd risk losing too many people.

Tyrion is the most favroite character by an incredibly long shot. The series writers are well aware of him / Dinklage being one of the main reasons for the series' success.

To me, this is the only mark against Tyrion and Dany meeting early. In the books, I they should meet after she's gotten a bit more control over her dragons/matured a bit more.
Spoiler:
Otherwise, this leaves Hizdar (if he lives) in control of the city and Tyrion is supposed to do what exactly?
Since Stannis isn't practically a drone on the show, I expect he won't hurt Shireen like Melisandre wants or if he does, it'll be a massive crisis of faith for him. Either way, he'll likely shove Melisandre off (or try to) and he's likely to get a very different story from the books (hopefully not as bad as Dorne).

I did not see Stannis actually going through with it and frankly, I'm a little surprised he did... it was also heart-wrenching to watch that scene, more so than a lot of other gak I've seen on this show.
Dany and the dragon... awesome. Yeah, I knew it was going to happen, but I still get excited for some dragon action and it didn't disappoint one bit.
Also, I was smiling through all the Dorne scenes just because I know House Sigvatr is going to be facepalming all bummed out the entire time.
