New range of knights/zombies from Studio Miniatures. I've got quite a lot of minis from the range already and they are great.

The premise this time is a medieval theme park after a zombie apocalypse, so lots of knight (that may seem familiar, if you like coconut horses and saying ni) survivors and lots of medieval zombies.

Some of the Knights have potential, but not much interested in squires or Zombies - though Studio Minitures Do have great looking Zombie models.

Haha, brilliant!

The sculpting actually looks lovely, that's some pretty impressive detail work on the faces. Looking forward to seeing what comes along next!

Also, wonder if this will also serve well for anyone who wants some really good sculpts to go along with the new Zombicide?

Can't exalt that enough.

Kirasu: Have we fallen so far that we are excited that GW is giving us the opportunity to spend 58$ for JUST the rules? Surprised it's not "Dataslate: Assault Phase"

AlexHolker: "The power loader is a forklift. The public doesn't complain about a forklift not having frontal armour protecting the crew compartment because the only enemy it is designed to face is the OHSA violation."

AlexHolker: "Allow me to put it this way: Paramount is Skynet, reboots are termination attempts, and your childhood is John Connor."

Unlocked a few SG already, just passed the Galahad mark!

Could be fun to get these if you're thinking about the new Zombicide campaign, or for a special KoW knight unit, skirmish gaming, or simply display!

Really though, you don't need a reason to want Monty Python minis, do you? Don't we all want them simply because we're nerdy gamers?

No. Some people want Firefly minis.

Oh, didn't realize you had to choose between Montry Python and Firefly. Can't like both?

Better look somewhere else for Firefly then. I severely doubt a KS called "Medieval Mayhem" will cater to your want.

You misunderstand. That was a reference to the many guys who insist on Serenity Crew stand ins in every range or Kickstarter.

Personally, I am no longer a fan of both franchises entirely because of the obnoxious fans who ruined them. Hopefully this campaign will cynically cash in on their Pavlovian weaknesses satisfy them. It even has Zombies for extra potency.
The minis are also very well sculpted, though, so I wish the creators all kinds of success.

How can "obnoxious fans" ruin something you like?

Treslibras, if you really want to know, send me a PM.

I have to say, though, that I'm really impressed by the quality of the sculpting. I am tempted to pick up Arthur anyway just to use with my Bretonnians...if they still exist.

Are there any scale shots of these minis next to GW or Perry minis?

No, but there're always IP issues lurking in the background.

Miramax sent CMON some sort of legal notice, causing them to change some of their exclusive sculpts.

There's plenty of grey IP in the miniatures biz, and I don't know Python's attitude towards its fandom. All I could find is that they made their own YouTube channel, in response to fan uploads of Python content. What happened to the fan content? Was it taken down?

The previous ranges seem to be the 32mm 'heroic' style and fit quite well with 40K mini's, so I don't think you'd have any problem using them with GW/Perry Bretons.

I can take a couple of random scale shots with mini's from the last KS if you want, as I'm assuming they'll be the same scale (it's the same range).

Stuart running the KS would hopefully be able to put up scale shots if you ask directly though.

IP was covered in the comments. They basically said they were fine.

So did Prodos. So did those dudes who did the 25th Heroquest thing.

Prodos has AvP licensing from Fox. The "IP Dispute" thing is just a BS excuse to remove the KS page.

I'll give you HQ25 though. Shady as feth.

I'm asking for more info from Studio Miniatures in the comments. You guys have me concerned now.

Edit: Dropped my pledge. Creator barely bothers to engage backers in the comments. If you're not excited about your product, don't expect me to be.

Mini's 1,3 & 5 are existing Studio Miniatures models, 2 & 4 are (old) GW models. SM said in the blurb that this is an expansion to the current range, so I'm assuming the new mini's should be in scale with the old ones.
