Wow, no it was $35 during the kickstarter.

I originally interpreted the behir as a chinese dragon. Sculpt a mane on that thing and it would work well! Some neat stuff in the expansion to pick up at retail if nothing else. I like the brain in a jar!

$35 for the whole set with the dragon, $10 per section(3 in all). I would expect a full castle to be $50+ during the kickstarter. $100+ retail.

I'd settle for a front entryway of a castle, or a tower of some sort- preferably that opens up and has levels to put figures inside. Some sort of completed scenery piece to pay with.

...Actually it sounds like I just want Castle Greyskull.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was another pure scifi expansion. Maybe they'll get around to doing some sort of support vehicles to go with their IMEF or Nova Corp.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

re:Sci-Fi - It's very likely that the IMEF Bulldog (about the size of a 40k dread) will be added. It's also very likely that there will be an entire expansion for Sci-Fi.. so.. yeah.. I'm hopeful. ReaperBryan has hinted that there is definitely more sci-fi to come but won't go into anything close to specifics.

I wouldn't mind a were-platypus, perhaps in a fedora...

But really I am in it for some terrain, paints, and maybe those frost giants. Though I might add that chinese dragon if it is a solo option.

Nah, the expansions are locked as a single purchase only until retail. Otherwise it would undermine the purpose of the expansion.

Shipping and customs basically add +60% to the price for me, so I'll be very picky.

So far I think Frost Giants, 2x Yetis, 1x Ogres and the armoured dragon.

I will say that the expansion is currently adding $2.50 to the (admittedly $50) shipping cost, which is rather better than the $25 in shipping the Bones II expansions did! And that I'm finding the models in this to be much more interesting - not as gonkish, and (minotaur aside) not repeating things that I already have.

The Chinese dragon is just spectacular, although I don't have a good idea about size/dimensions/final shape. Where's Forscale when you need him? Is the succubus human-sized or a Bloodthirster?

Why do people keep calling that thing a Chinese Dragon?? Because it's skinny? Count the number of legs. Chinese Dragons are only supposed to have four.

I don't know where you guys live, but around here a person's number of extraneous limbs is considered a more important identifying characteristic than his BMI.

Yeah.. I mentioned that and got freakin mobbed in the comments section. Every now and then there's some love for sci-fi though. I'm trying to push for a set of some of their Shadowrun type guys or more Not-Starcraft stuff.

They had the CAV kickstarter not too long ago. Or are you talking about a scifi troops and such kickstarter?

CAV is Mechwarrior scale, not 28mm. Whole other thing...

Given that we have "not-quite-Starcraft Marines" as add ons, I do hope that like Bones II we do see some modern/sci-fi stuff tucked into the lineup (perhaps an Expansion like last time), but I doubt we'll see a very extensive amount added.

Looking over the core set, add ons and whatnot thus far, there's a rather fantasy based common element present...

No one mentioned 28mm. Just Scifi.

Reaper has expressed in the comments that they are making concerted efforts to keep CAV separate as a property from their other lines. I don't know what that's all about but it struck me as odd. I am not 100% sure but I think the only thing offered during the CAV KS was CAV miniatures.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Yeah, I just checked.. it was strictly for CAV which is their 10mm line.

Mostly mechs with a few vehicles. I assume they were all from their CAV line.

Yeah.. it was just CAV, I checked. Which means the only pure sci-fi they did was for 10mm. Not really scratching the itch us sci-fi enthusiasts are talking about if you know what I mean

Oh I understand. Looking at it from pure science fiction they have done it before, but not in a scale that appeals to a large portion of customers.

Right Most of their other stuff is in 28mm.. and most other companies are doing 28-32.. with some 15mm taking off as well. None of the stuff from that is really usable in most systems outside of CAV or Mechwarrior or similar. We have yet to see any massive sci-fi offerings in the vein of the fantasy stuff.. barring monsters that could go either way.

That said.. the Vic Lamb artillery thing.. is going to be honking huge.. so there's that

Are you talking about Bones III? If you're saying that you've pledged $100 on a Bones III KS pledge level, you can spend it on add-ons, instead of the core set.

Only 5K away from the next SG! 70K so far today, so should be a few hours until the unlock. Throw in some money for the unlock and see if the Vic miniatures will be revealed!

I know they mentioned in the comments they'd be doing more Chronoscope and Savage Worlds stuff, which at least has scifi elements.

They also showed off an IMEF Bulldog mech in Bones material, so we'll see that at some point or another.

Why is Marthrangul 50% more expensive than Diabolus and the dragon with the rider? They seem to be about the same size.

Also, does anyone know what their plan is for retail release of the things from Bones 2? It looks like some are out already, and some not. So they release them gradually over time?

Marthrangul is a bit chunkier than Diabolus and the dragon rider. He also appears to have a partial scenic base.

Retail plan is a trickle release after kickstarter goods are delivered iirc. They definitely won't be released until after the kickstarter rewards are in backer's hands.
