Hopefully we see some, but any mention of it is unfortunately buried under screams of fantasy fanboi rage.

One more?

I thought they said there'd be several more expansions?

Bones 2 had 3 Expansions and "Dragons Don't Share" which was basically a somewhat smaller/cheaper expansion (or a more expensive/bigger add on, I suppose, depending on ones perspective).

There are 2-3 more expansions planned.

What they have been revealing and unlocking are the sub-sections of the first expansion.

I do wish they'd offer that behir as a separate purchase. I have no interest at all in any of the minis it is bundled with but would pledge in an instant if I could get it at the add on price of $10-15 like the dragons.

Always with the frost sorceress and the snow creatures. I'm telling you, you should really let it go, let it go.

I would love to see more female monsters and sci fi, but I'm pretty sure Reaper wants to get through a bunch of halfling bard archers or something first.

Seems like a prime opportunity to see if anyone was willing to split it with you. Any chance you have some local friends that might be interested in splitting up that expansion? If $10-15 seems reasonable to you, surely there's someone who thinks $35-40 for everything else in the expansion would be a solid deal?

Hell, I'd ponder it, but whatever savings would be found would probably be lost in shipping it across our borders. Probably cheaper to just buy it at retail, or order it from them and take advantage of the $35 free shipping in that case.

Yeah, there's one that jumps on me every time he gets in an argument.. WITH SOMEONE ELSE.. ugh. It's a guy too.. and he is SJWing for female minis. However.. what he wants isn't female minis..it's female minis with big boobs and tiny waists. So he's requesting something chauvinistic but doing so under the banner of equality.. how the EFF does that work??? I tried asking in the comments just to see what percentage EVERYONE wanted to see as females and he took that as a cue to say I was telling him there didn't need to be more females. I was seriously trying to figure out everyone's views but his SJW mojo shut down any hope of a meaningful conversation that might actually help to strengthen his position. But.. because he keeps engaging me, I end up looking like the a-hole. /whining

The anti-sci-fi stuff is tiresome. I'm in the camp that there are a few things I want from fantasy but nothing I need. I want some stuff from sci-fi and modern and if it doesn't go that direction, I'll be backing my pledge waaaaay down and putting that money on the HINT late pledges or some other sci-fi models. Reaper does have some neat sci-fi stuff but they're not keeping up with the industry in sci-fi. Because they're not, their sales aren't that impressive and they instead get a sense that sci-fi isn't popular. It is.. but people want to buy sci-fi stuff that looks like it was made this century. :/ That said, I love the corsairs and cannon.

Locally? Nah, no one that I know of. The store I shop at stocks bones and the owner loves it for his own collection (big WHFB player) as well as for the store so I'll probably get it there late next year. Does anyone know of the markup for the dragon sized minis %-wise from the KS price to retail? I'll likely also hit up the thread to see if anyone wants to sell their mini when they start to ship for a fair price (i.e. a bit above the KS price). From the video posted in the update, the behir doesn't seem all that big and is likely significantly smaller than most dragons judging from the stitch golems they had in the video that are also in the KS add on pic. (insert disclaimer about minis in the rear view KS prototype mirror are closer/larger than they appear)

Most of the dragons are about $20, with some outliers at $15 or $25+. I think the behind is more likely to be $10-$12, like the storm Giants and similar sized monsters.

I'm still waiting for the next reveal to see if they're making today a perfect day for me.

LoL, I would love to see a halfling bard archer using his or her banjo to shoot an arrow. Perhaps paired with a were-coyote in beat up partial armor. It must be absolutely nightmarish calcuclating which parts of their catalogue would be the most lucrative to switch to bonesium. They have miniatures for everything.

The Stoneskull expansion is like a collection of weird stuff they were confident selling as individual add-ons so they lumped them all together for $50 so the price per model would be low enough that you just go "Eh, what the hell" and just plunk down $50 for it now and figure out what you could use them for later.

Yup, and it's working for me. It's exactly what I want out of Bones: monsters and mooks. No PCs as far as the eye can see!

Whats the Reaper call sign on the kickstarter comments? @Reaper? I'll throw my hat in for more scifi, if just to help drown out the fantasy brigade.

For those on the fence on the expansions, here's what you could buy the various expansions from Bones 2 for from The Warstore

Set 1 $92.36

Set 2 $61.05

Set 3 $71.99

So pretty much all over the place on value. In general, I wouldnt get an expansion unless you want 2/3 of them. Rember, bones are cheap and you can normally find at least a 20% discount.

On the other hand, this way we get to support a (mostly) awesome company doing (almost entirely) awesome stuff.

Whether you buy Bones through the KS or from a FLGS you're still supporting Reaper either way and they make money off your purchase.

True, but people waiting to support later doesn't get us all more figures.

So it's a bit self serving, but anyone with a full tier does have a bit of a vested interest in going in now.

We can also look at things like Dragons Don't Share, which was $35 during the campaign and is apparently (from what people have said) $75 now from Reaper, and $60 at The War Store.

I mean, I agree, people should act responsibly, and getting stuff after the fact is totally a way to go if one wants to avoid the risk of late delivery or other problems. But at the same time, the campaign approach does reward us for showing that faith/contributing those dollars up front, and from what is listed above, it's not like any of them proved to lose money.

Plus even more savings could potentially be found selling off parts one doesn't want or splitting the expansions with others (where possible, obviously that's not going to work for everyone).

Personally the draw is that it's a Vic / Jake sculpt that (as a 'murrican) I wouldnt have to pay the Australia tax on. If this gun goes well for Reaper and Vic then it may lead to Vic's work being easier for me to get.

The Australia Tax is what we have to pay. It's what happens when you can buy the same item, with single-unit air shipping from the other side of the globe for significantly less than it would cost from the retailer down the street, shipped en masse via sea.

I've always liked Yahtzee's description of it as the "having the nicest beaches tax", though I'm sure some people will cheerfully argue the matter. :-P

I certainly don't expect to see something the size of that Shub Niggurath for a measly ten bucks when it hits retail. The Black Goat looks massive!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

You're also getting six crew with it. Vic's standard troopers average ~$5 per figure, so you're looking at ~$30 for the crew and ~$40 for the gun, which makes sense.

Don't do that.
The gun doesn't come with Vic's resin multipart models which go for $5 each. It comes with bones models based on her sculpts, that will probably be reasonably nice, but nowhere near as nice and certainly not worth nearly as much as the resins. Bones humans aren't worth $5 each, even at full RRP.
It's a false metric.

If only I could live and laze away my life on a beach. JahJoshua's got the right idea in many ways, but it probably wouldn't work for me. FWIW, I haven't been to all that many Aussie beaches outside of my own city, but I'm partial to the Bay of Islands in New Zealand, myself. Though I'm not a surfer.

Must've missed where it was discussed they were not multi-part. I'm new to this Bones stuff anyways.

In that case, fair enough. The gun is pretty big, and the retail price sits at the upper end of what I'd pay, but the KS price is pretty excellent, so I'm going in for what I need now.
