A decent bit of painting done today. Skit's pressure suits all done and basecoat for the inside of their robes done as well. They're not actually assembled yet, just sitting on top of their legs. Once the inside of the robes are shaded and that I'll get em properly assembled. Made a start on another space hulk termie as well and got his base finished too (top right hand corner). Fine day

Wow, wow, wow… absolutely love your paint scheme. Such detail and skill, you should be very proud of yourself. Really inspiring Januine!

Can I ask where you got the other mechanicus models from… are they forgeworld? Also do you play them in 40k? How do they mesh with the skitarri and adeptus mechanicus factions?

If you're on about the Magos on the Abeyant (floaty platform thing) and the Scyllax Automata then yes, those are Forge World models, though there's a couple scratch builds in there too.
To be honest, they don't look too out of place with Skitarii and Adeptus Mechanicus. Just bear in mind the Mechanicum stuff from Forge World is pretty much entirely 30k.

Exciting! While I personally prefer your techpriests (so... much... detail...) Seeing some more skits will still be pretty awesome

Cheers foks @ Xeones7 - some stuff is FW, some GW. The big Arch Magos with the axe and surrounded by (FW) scyllax though is a scratch build I did using bits of about 8 other kits/models. The FW Mechanicum stuff can be used in 40K games if you have the FW Mechanicum Taghmata red book. I havent done myself but there is a guy on YouTube (Winters SEO) who regularly runs Mechanicus and Mechanicum mixed force and it seems to gel well together. He has loads of batrep videos up there

Cheers Bottle. Up at 6am as per usual to get ready for work...but couldnt resist putting some shading on their blue robes interior so all ready for glazing up when I get home later. I just love this blue! Metals have come out well; it's my usual metals recipe for the admech adn i just love the kinda tarnished antiquey feel that comes with it Stating next month I'll be starting on the Thanatar but he's gonna take a good long time as I'll be entering him in the 'Eavier Metal comp over on FB

Progress!!! Robes' blue linings are all done, although can't really see them in this crappy photo. With that done, got them (mostly) assembled now. Begining to look cool Outer robes just need their highlighting glazes nor and then on to details. Hopefully have them done weekend....ish

Cheers Maz. Sadly really hard to see the blue interior of the robes well in that photo. But it came out beautifully. Just need to start highlighting the grey outer robes now. 7 or 8 glazes should do the trick. This is how the scheme looks when finished - blue on the inside, dusty grey on the outside

Lovely! Looks very delicate and bright. You've really redeemed what can be a pretty silly looking model.

Cheers BC. Ol' chicken legs was the test model for the grey/blue scheme. I really quite like the dragoon models. There is something silly about them but it works for me for some reason. Not as keen on the ballistarus variant......think it needs that long lance to balance it out

lol. Really love the pike you gave to your guy. works brilliantly. I want to get another 1 or 2 of them at some point but they are a bit of a bugger to build and a long paint but defintely worth it. I painted mine in about 5 sub-assembles I think which really made things easier

Yeah it was a pain to paint at some points. Especially the servitor as he actually has some nice details on him.

Robes finally all done and a start made on the eye lenses. Screwed up my neck somehow so gonna have to call it a day. Robes took like 5-6 hours to do but happy with how they turned out

I know I've said it before, but the blue color scheme for these is really working well. It looked great on the Dominus, but also seems to be carrying over well to every other model you use it on.

Can't wait to see what you come up with next .

Not where I should be

Sorry bud, looks a fantastic blue grey with brilliant blue accents make it a wonderful scheme. Nothing wrong with the pics. With the tones you have on the metalwork it is just a stunning combo. It is simply one of the best looking armies I have seen for sure.

Mind you maybe it is because in my mind it is coming over reminiscent of the RAF! Properly military as opposed to silly bright "HERE I AM!" uniforms.

lol! Cheers Cam. wanted a darker more grim and used scheme than pretty boys on parade. Really pleased how the whole scheme has worked across the board thus far. Painting a full squad at the same time is a bit gruelling. Think I'll stick to 5 at a time from now on though

Been busy as lately but still managing to get some hobby time in. Backseated the skits for a day or so as want to get this guy underway. He's gonna be a competition entry so want to start planning him and that early. The build and repositioning is mostly done. Just need to tweak those thrice cursed ammo belts and then finishing building up stuff on the base. All the main pinning is done now.
