Actually no, I haven't. I've been wanting to watch practically anything involving Aliens or Predators (including AvP), but it hasn't been going the greatest. Anyway, I hope the guy develops the mod into something that can really integrate 40k into it, AFAIK its just a SM helmet currently

I am having such a blast with this game. I have been playing SP just to get the hang of things before I go and try a PVE server. I am trying to get my friends to play but I am hoping my gaming community picks it up too.

Is there a release date for the console editions? I have a feeling I would have more fun on my Xbox one as there would be less lag and I would have more of a chance to get friends to play it.

How do you know there'd be less lag? In my experience, console multiplayer is more laggy, not less... granted my experience is an x360, but still.

Like a year or more. It's not even close to being done, or optimized well we are at it.

That's a shame, but either way I'm going to end up waiting; either for more optimization for my PC (which will come sooner, but my comp still may not like it) or for it to come out for console.

I have decided to give multi-player a go, I found a nice public PVE server with another group I game with, should be much fun.

A year till it enters Beta is what I hear. Remember is still in Alpha.

They added in some new stuff recently, including a crossbow, pump-action shotgun and various traps. Had a go with the crossbow myself, when paired with tranq-arrows it works amazingly well.

They also made advanced rifle bullets cheaper. 1/3 the metal they used to cost.

Yay, means I finally become an effective bullet farmer now!

Rebuilding my base into a giant ridiculous citadel, after walling off the entire eastern peninsula.

I'm still having fun, but it kind of sucks that my tribe has dwindled from about 20 active people to maybe four.

We play a few hours every few nights or so, which usually breaks down to me stuck on a cold mountain mining metal while my brother and his friend go explore caves, tame all sorts of dinosaurs and build all the cool stuff.

Though the menagerie continues to grow: we've got one Dodo, two dilos, a Para, a Trike, a Stego, a Bronto, a Carno, five Raptors, two T-Rex, a Spino, three Ptero's, three of those birds, three dolphins and two Mega's. I personally tamed a Ankylo, named it FRANK THE TANK and use it for my mining trips, most excellent!

Oh man, these Alpha dinos are lending a much needed edge of danger to PVE servers. I watched one eat it's way into and through a guy's entire base while three of us strafed it on argents. A level 12.

Oh, and spikes in PVE are pointless, it used them as a stepladder to get over his walls, as far as we could tell it didn't get hurt by 'em at all.

Took out one with a primitive bow and stone arrows. In fact I took time to prepare for it. For the Alpha raptor was caught in a abandon fort on North 2 location on the beach....close to my second FOB which I am building to process metal ore...also a good oil node there and lot's of trib....but I digress....200+ arrows to take him out....Twelve meat and one prime meat.

I stopped the engram learning and letting those points build for the supply pods are giving me lots of blue prints and gear

I figure I would have two FOB's per grid square
I'm pretty much left alone PvP because I gave good advice on how to wreck the Chinese tribe who were killing everyone dino. Never have a main base in a tunnel system

Its using the momentum bug to get over objects. I use the same bug to when I run empty

Looking forward to when they're implementing scuba gear, which is later this month IIRC.

Lazerus potion is just as good. You get a good 15 minutes out of it and they can be consumed under water.

Had a beach party on death island(Northeast) on our server last night, guys set up a dance floor and everything.

We had a pig race (I know, they're actually proto elephants) which I sort of won - lost to the host's level 152 leveled for speed, but they weren't competing for the prize, so I got a level 69 mammoth out of the deal. Then everyone parachuted naked into the cave and had to try and run out. Three made it out of fifteen or so. It was really cool and a good group bonding deal for our server.

I have been playing the crap out of this game, this game really makes the survival genre shine. the devs have been doing an awesome job with the updates keeping the game fresh and new and filling in some of the gaps but still making the game a challenge.

The people on my server are pretty sweet. i was helped a bit early a couple of times with early saddles for things i tamed which has made live and survival a bit easier, i still die to ants or the occasional t-rex or spino.

i hope they tweak building snap points a bit, trying elaborate building starts to get a bit wonky and things stop lining up right. i also think bear traps could use a bit of fixing, maybe have the option to put bait on it to lure stuff over to get caught for taming.

Did my first full kibble tame today, got a level 166 argentavis. Glitched out and took me an hour or so to finesse it back home, but got it done in the end.

It feels a bit cheaty building out on that island of land because once out there you are relatively safe.

Cheating? Are you fething serious? Really now, what's wrong with wanting to build a basecamp somewhere safe?

Plus you end up far from resources too.

There's also that yeah, though we've established a mining camp on top of a mountain for iron and crystals. It's cold as feth though, no matter what we wear and how many fires we stoke. Not to mention the best way to get there is by flying.
