Wow... the Occulam and Dias look great. I especially like the way the dias floats!

The Occulam... I'm waiting to see if anyone is going to fully assemble that, prime it, play with it, and then go back to try to paint it

Out of curiosity, I wonder what the sprues for the big sphere thing look like on the occulam.

The author Josh Reynolds has an ask.fm page.

He's covered a few odds and sods to do with AoS, at least with regards to his tale set their.

Is is possible that any of the stormcast eternals were women, or members from one of the other races like aelfs and duardim? I actually asked about that. The answer I was given was...possibly? It's being left vague intentionally, was my understanding. Nothing stopping you saying yours are aelfs or whatever, if you want

It has not been left vague. If you look at the Stormcast Eternals and don't immediately realise that they are based on human males, you clearly don't know what a human male looks like.

They dont look like HUMAN males. They look like aliens. Seriously, compare them with the Chaos "marauders". Those are human males. Sigmarites are waaaaaayyy too bulky and their proportions are completely off.

While it's true that their armour is designed with male features, it is so bulky that you could possibly fit two dwarves inside on controls

I assume their armor shape is in effigy to their God and creator thus if the person below was a woman they would still wear the same armor.

Sounds like much ado about nothing.

Apologies for the gakky picture, they were quite far in the background. He looks like he may be a character model with that spear/glaive he's carrying

That's part of why this thing seems weird. I feel like they're changing from Chaos as the bulky 'heavy warrior' faction with Empire as more 'standard infantry' to a system where Sigmar is the bulky guys, and chaos looks thin and starved. Seems like a weird flip

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Going back to this now that we've got a picture of the English rules.
You have to roll a 7+ in order to heal a Wound, which means that you need to roll a 6 for your saves.

The reason that I really, really dislike those models. They just plain don't fit a fantasy aesthetic, to me. I know some people like them, but I'm not one of them. In fact, I've actually gone from indifferent to actual dislike since the images first came out.

Articulated armour has to conform to the proportions of the skeleton of the person wearing it. The shoulder joints have to rotate around the same point as the wearer's shoulder joints, which it can't do if the armour is made to fit a broad-shouldered man and the wearer is a woman.

That's a lot less interesting than the original Gorkamorka (i.e. the one from the game Gorkamorka). There it actually meant something - an acknowledgement of the compromise meant to end the sectarian violence over the identity of the spaceship-slash-idol they were building. Here it's just "Because!"

I am kind of impressed, but mostly confused, at the idea of putting a blade on your shoulderpad. How do you even use that? What situation came up, that made that eager young man go to his friendly local blacksmith and ask him, "Stick a serrated blade on my shoulderpad please"? I mean, he already has two axes and a spikey helmet!

I cant help noticing the occulam "spehere" (the actual occulam?) is NOT in the shape of a skull.
Its not even called Skull Occulam!
Huge missed oppurtunity here, GW.
Not sure I can take this new direction AOS is taking. Feels like I dont know what company Im dealing with here
