I made some progress on my boy today.

Was hoping hed be able to be sent in a letter(not assembled) but turns out hes a bit to wide.

So I'm going to scratch build some kans(and or scrounge up some orks) and find people to paint them to make use of the extra space due to having to send him as a package. >.>

kb_lock - do you have any particular regular opponents?

Just wondering if any trophies on these miniatures should be in particular legion colours/guard regiments/craftworlds etc?

Obviously I can just choose whatever works for me, but if we can slip in a subtle nod to your favourite opponent, so much the better.

The will most likely fight against my Ultramarine army, and are AOBR orks originally, so as heretical as it sounds, Ultramarine trophies would probably make the most sense.

That said, Astra Militarium tend to die in their droves enough that the orks would certainly have some of their trophies as well.

Really though, I don't mind mate, whatever you think works best - now you've given me the idea I will probably tie it into the bases somehow

I was thinking of painting an Eldar head for you to incorporate into the base. I have plenty of spare Marine bits too. I could easily do a blue SM hat instead.

I'd like to imagine that the Dakka Dakka Clan have murdered pretty much everyone in their travels, so there is no way you can get it wrong.

Had a light packet arrive over the weekend that I assume was an ork. Unfortunately I'm at the other end of the country. The other guys will start going out this week.

Quite possibly Cam, that's actually my parents' address, and I haven't made it over yet.

All Orks are going there because they're home during the day, and their postman doesn't do things like put parcels in the recycle bin.

If your in need of any NA painters still, you may throw my name in the mix. I am actually in the middle of painting my small and growing Ork force, and i gotta be honest, they are a TON funner to paint then my SW ever were.

PM oadie and send him your details, he's got a stack of orks looking for the gentle caress of a brush

Quite so! Still haven't heard from Bavius, so I haven't even dipped into my own stash of Orks that I offered up for the project. Message me your info and I'll send a boy your way. If you'd prefer to just throw one of your own into the mix, I'll send you my info, instead. Either is fine with me - just drop a PM.

To Redflex (and any others wondering): I'd like to say that I'm just waiting for stragglers to get in before a massive shipment, but my department head has been out, due to a death in his family, so we've all been pulling extra shifts. Nothing has been sent out, yet, and likely won't until the end of next week.

I'll be out of town for a wedding, starting tomorrow, so get your PMs in over the weekend and I'll be able to respond early next week. Hoping to have a finalized list before I finally make it to the post office.

Maybe it's been asked before, but do you want bitz for the bases? Cause I can include some generic SM heads, maybe some things from the Basing Kit.

Ork player here. Well not really.. I use lots of 3rd party ork models combined with unhealthy amounts of GW bitz, more WW2 vehicle kits than I can shake a stick at, lots of IG vehicles (I have three god-damned baneblades) and the rare fully GW ork model. All of this is combined into a surprisingly organized and cohesive looking Orkish horde which I run as either Imperial Guard or more commonly Renegades and Heretics.

The point is that I field gigantic mobs of 50 screaming orks and call them a mutant ramble. They're backed up by 120mm static WW2 Long Tom artillery pieces which are called Earthshaker Carriages. It's pretty spectacular.

If you've got a boy or two left to send my way I'd gladly paint them up.

.. I should also mention that my orks are purple.
