I've never painted an ork before but would love to join in if there are any unspoken for in the US still.

Sorry fella, I have been pretty ill recently. Ill see what I can do about getting out and posting Orks.

That would be really cool to be a part of! I actually found some AMAZING irk bitz that I may buy just to paint up and throw a few more figs into the army. The Grotanists may have to end up being a unit!

As far as I know all the UK orks are out there and most are paired and returned to ButteryCommissar already. Buttery commissar is the UK hub of this project. The UK orks havn't returned down under yet so if you want to get involved at short notice I'd say your best bet is grab any ork related mini you'd like to donate and paint it up, and PM buttery commissar for the UK address to post it to.

Yeah, I'll do a roll call on it all this month to see where we are up to, as it is out of my hands in the UK and US, I don't know what is where.

So far, Winter has delivered a super sweet deffkopta, which is being overseen by Januine's amazing warboss. My own Ork Nob is ALMOST finished (like everything else on my desk), and should join them soon(tm)

I did, however, make a new shelf for them in my cabinet, so there's that.

I think I can probably send the UK mob back at this point. Any stragglers can follow with my Ork later.

Sure would be nice if the US side could get anything underway to join up with that. We've hit the 5 month mark here, which means we're fast approaching half a year from concept with nothing but "eventually" on the table. T_T

I know you US bros are hard done by, but oadie was the dude that volunteered after much begging and pleading, and he unfortunately had a cluster of problems that really slowed stuff down.

If there were some way he could get it all shipped right now, I am sure he would do it, unfortunately we are where we are.

Finally I can say I've finished these guys, its only taken 3 months (sorry KB).

They are painted roughly in the Dakka Colours. I thought an army of AOBR models might look a little samey so converted them slightly just to make them a bit different (great article on Dakka if anyone is interested in it. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/242444.page )

After I'd taken the pics I noticed a few bits I missed so touched them up and also redid some of the black highlights with a lighter gray to try and make it stand out a bit more.

I've not heard from oadie any more than you folks have, but really, it is what it is. I'm pretty sure he'll come back to us, and as winter starts to leave us it should make it easier for you people to prime them.

Worst case scenario, I organize a road trip/commando/rescue mission. He’s only ~4 hours away...

But as the snow has set in, I’m more or less in hibernation mode, so no rush.

The only real concern is that the end recipients forget they have plastic coming, or have moved. That said, that wouldn't be terribly common (surely!)
