And where the hell is Lando

After his part in the destruction of the second Deathstar, Lando didn't do as well as Solo. Lando bounced from job to job, trying to find that one score that would set him up for life. Until one day, he found himself peddling galactic malt liquor Tan-tan 45. After this short stint as a spokesman for a beverage corperation, Lando disappeared from records. Some say he starred in some films while others say he is signing autographs at special festivals themed around popular holo-movies.

Spoiler:

Stitch Kingdom reports Amazon France has uploaded details on the John Williams soundtrack for that well-known Star Wars movie that’s coming out in just three short weeks. The track listing has since been removed from the Amazon France page. None of the tracks feature names as shattering as The Phantom Menace‘s infamous “Qui-Gon’s Noble End,” but depending on how much you want to more you want to know, you might want to avert your eyes.

Granted, if you’ve been following the stream of clips, there’s nothing too surprising here … except maybe the last track.

If you’re curious, here is the listing as reported by Stitch Kingdom:

1. Main title and the attack on the jakku village
2. The scavenger
3. I can fly anything
4. Rey meets bb-8
5. Follow me
6. Rey’s thème
7. The falcon
8. That girl with the staff
9. The rathtars!
10. Finn’s confession
11. Maz’s counsel
12. The starkiller
13. Kylo ren arrives at the battle
14. The abduction
15. Han and leia
16. March of the resistance
17. Snoke
18. On the inside
19. Torn apart
20. The ways of the force
21. Scherzo for X-wings
22. Farewell and the trip
23. The jedi steps and finale

You begin to wonder why you came

Where didI go wrong?

Not to insult anyone here but, didn't the original come out like 30 years ago? I know it was a big deal back then but they seem to try and link alot up with other videos. Will the "NEW" audience recognize anything?

Indeed.

I've heard tell of a rumor that the original movies were made available long, long ago in the year 2011 on an archaic media platform known as "Blu-Ray." Finding said recordings is said to be difficult, often involving a car ride to a nearby store or even more arduous, walking to your computer and looking up an online retailer such as Amazon. Truly it is a dark time for fans of the Star Wars.

Ya ..... You do not understand that was a resale for those who already liked it. Thats why it is remastered 9 times now.

Ask a average twelve year old who luke is yoda they may know as the green frog guy. Other then that it is up there with star trek one. With Oh that slow talking fat guy from weird or what. Helll onNy reason I know about them is because my brother who is 14 years older then me owned them and when I was sick I tried watching them.

Only things I really remember about them is yoda was this weird little green muppet who talked funny and kept stealing food and he died. And the heavy breather black guy with the mask who used the flash light sword. Bad sword fights to the extreme and thats bout it. oh Oh and the big foot guy who flys a ship is pretty sweet. I may actually rent them lol. There 4 or 5 now? Wait a second didnt they kill this giant monster in a cage? The snorlax or something loke that by hitting a ball in its throat like with a golf club? Which was an actual stick not a golf club. Man I am getting confused lol I think I remember parts but I didnt watch alot of those oldies since, mymoms vhs broke.

The 'average' twelve year old will be reasonably familiar with Star Wars either because their parents made them watch it, or because of the Clone Wars cartoon.

Rebels as well.

The most recent episode of season 2 is actually quite entertaining. A character spends most of his lines joking about how terrible Storm Trooper armor is. "This armor doesn't protect you from anything!"

Chubbs, you should really go back and proofread that thing. It looked like you typed that "description" of Star Wars with your forehead. It's pretty nonsensical and hard to traverse through whatever you wrote.

Oh, and everyone knows who Yoda is. I have friends who never want to see Star Wars ever, and they know who Yoda is.

I'm of the age now (sadly), where my friends who have had kids, the kids are starting to be at the right age.

Both of my daughters, aged 4 and 7, love Star Wars. The original trilogy is standard viewing in my house and the younger one enjoys watching all of the trailers for Episode VII on the iPad.

After two attempts of trying to watch the first two back when I first moved and had no internet or cable. I can honestly say I never made it threw the first one. My wife kept saying on a whole planet of people they never found one good looking person, and my neices and nephews saying if the puppets look that bad why not pull a trek thing and make them all humans?

Tried to watch the new one with the red guy in it but there was this weird skinny frog thing that was too annoying. Guess it is not my thing or not popular where I am. Mostly hunting and sports and nerds where kinda lame loners. But when i was 15 me and some friends would go camping in the woods or be chasing some girls.

Well, I am 15, and I am very familiar with Star Wars, and so is everyone else my age I know. It is really hard not to know about Star Wars, given how much it has become part of universal popular culture. Star War is just like the Lord of the Rings in that regard.

No, Star Wars has an order of magnitude more cultural penetration than even LOTR. There are probably tribes in the Amazon rain forest more familiar with Star Wars than OgreChubbs is.

My first reaction was to THANK GOD there are internet miniature wargaming forums to serve as safe havens for people too cool for that dorky Star Wars stuff.

But then the Star Wars films have from the beginning transcended dork culture to become part of pop culture, so yeah...this must be a "look at me" thing.

Well to be fair I still didn't even watch the other two lord of the ring movies did see the hibbit number 2 tho with the dragon and number three with the elves jumping dwarfs.

BTW why do all of you think I am hating so much? If you like it sweet if not oh well, I am just trying to figure out what you like and why. And my first post was wondering if the new generation would like it.

I find alot of movies remakes and such you already kinda needed to know the plot inorder to watch it. like the second or prequel to IT.

Well, you have to admit that even if you are being truthful you are being obtuse enough it almost sounds like toungue in cheek trolling to see if anyone will take the bait.

I think it's a pretty unspoken assumption that anyone watching Episode 7 will (likely) know the plot of at least the original trilogy, even by osmosis of popular culture exposure. I feel completely safe in stating that Han Solo's a pretty household name.

It really boils down to, You had to be there. those of us old enough to see how ground breaking it was when first released in the theaters will always have spot in our hearts for the series. Plus with a utter lack of video games at the time, star wars toys were the best thing since sliced bread. Those growing up today who can see better effects on a youtube video probably can't understand how far star wars pushed the effects envelope.

And Lucas continues to open his mouth and let "unfiltered dumb" pour out.

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/11/30/george-lucas-han-shoot-first

Lucas says Han shooting first in the Mos Eisley cantina — which is what happened in the original edit of 1977’s debut Star Wars film — ran against the character’s principles. “Han Solo was going to marry Leia, and you look back and say, ‘Should he be a cold-blooded killer?’” Lucas asks. “Because I was thinking mythologically — should he be a cowboy, should he be John Wayne? And I said, ‘Yeah, he should be John Wayne.’ And when you’re John Wayne, you don’t shoot people [first] — you let them have the first shot. It’s a mythological reality that we hope our society pays attention to.”

Lucas has some very selective memories of John Wayne's movies.
