AoS has rekindled my love of fantasy battles, however probably not in the direction GW were expecting as with a lot of people as I also have found KoW. I have always been more of a collector/painter than a serious gamer and I like to theme my armies where possible. I have started a number of armies and I will document them on this forum as I go along, I will be starting with The Herd and a Nature army. If any experienced KoW players out could assist with helping me finishing off my lists I would appreciate it.....is there anything I'm definitely lacking? Hordes over regiments, army standard bearers etc.... All my armies will be 2000pts.
The following miniatures are what I already own or have on order (awaiting some KS stuff from Mierce), I will be putting up some photos as the armies progress.
The Herd
Tribal Warriors regiment. 125pts
Tribal Berserker regiment. 155pts
Tribal Longhorn regiment. 160pts
Tribal Hunters troop with bows. 90pts
Guardian Horde. 215pts
Lycans regiment. 160pts
Centaur Bray Striders regiment. 155pts
3 Giant Eagles. 145pts
Brutox 220pts
Battle Totem. 80pts
Avatar with Heal. 295pts
I have 200 points left over and I'm not sure what to spend it on, the Tribal troops are for the bulk, the Brutox and Guardians are the punch and the Eagles, Centaurs and Lycans are my flanking units....the Totem just fits with the theme.
The Nature army
The Green Lady + 2 Companions. 220pts
Earth Elemental regiment. 130pts
Greater Earth Elemental. 160pts
Hunters of the Wild regiment. 190pts
Tree Herder. 260pts
Hunters otw + wild guard. 210pts
Tree Herder. 260pts
Tree Herder. 260pts
I was going to use two regiments of combat Centaurs for the last 310pts to add some speed but I'm not 100% convinced, I do need two regiments or at least one Hoard as my last units to make the army legal.

The first photo for the Nature army, The Green Lady + Companions. As the rules says she can fly I have gone for a more ethereal nature for her. Automatically Appended Next Post: Not to sure why it's flipped the photo on its side but it appears the right way if you clip on it.

They are the Space Wolves Fenrisian Wolves, they are quite dynamic compared to GW's Orc and Goblin wolves.

With 3 tree herders and so few shambling units you aren't lacking for speed. Triple surge and those elementals are going to be running like Usain Bolt. You are weak in shooting though with only the two wild companions (and that's two turns of not healing with the green lady if you use them). If you have 310 points spare and are going with centaurs maybe consider dropping one companion and taking one of the centaur regiments as hunters to give you some mobile harassing fire (plus with nimble they can compensate for the centaurs' woeful attacks stat with easier flank/rear charging).
Damn cool looking wolves though

The Nature army is progressing nicely, the converted Centaur hunters and Greater Earth Elemental are to the right.

Some close ups of my Centaurs, they are a mix of Glade Riders and Chaos Marauders. I was just goin to keep them more Elven in design but the fluff with the unit entry describes them as brutish hence the Marauder torsos.

I love the Giant Trees, ill probably get some Nature stuff to back up my Herd army as the Hunters are lousy shots Though i love the rest of the army, and the fact that i have a ton of Minotaurs helps lol
Those Slyph Talonriders look sweet btw.
